At the BlackBerry Developer Conference yesterday, Linked In announced an application that they were releasing for BlackBerry.  From the way it looks, Linked In is going to get more interactive and more social network oriented as it will have home screen indicators like the Facebook and MySpace app does.  There are some great screenshots we gathered on the app.  Continue reading to check them out.

The BlackBerry was formerly a strict business emailing device at one point in time and obviously just didn’t fall into the hands of every day consumers with basic wants and needs. The device’s popularity spreads across the world favoring anyone who has the rights to an email address or just wants to stay “connected.”  It also could of spread to social networking addicts who prefer to be notified live when comments and messages are sent on their MySpace or Facebook.  So how do people get started on the BlackBerry?  Did you receive one at your job and crave one personally?  Did your friend hand you your first device and influence you into blogging about them? Or perhaps you had a PDA previously rockin’ Windows Mobile or an iPhone and gave BlackBerry a shot.  We want to hear your stories!  Drop us a comment and tell what influenced you all into getting a BlackBerry!

bold9700stocker copy

It’s been very exciting during the past few days as we’ve been testing out the all new BlackBerry Bold 9700 for T-Mobile.  So far, we have been impressed by its enhancements and new features.  The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is the second generation Bold to release just one year after the first 9000 made its way to us.  Overall, we see that the size has been greatly reduced and the all new trackpad has officially replaced the trackball.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is the thinnest BlackBerry on the market.  The most noticeable difference between the new Bold and the old one is the sizw. The new Bold now measures at 4.29 inches tall by 2.36 inches wide by 0.56 inch thick and weighs about 4.3 ounces while the original Bold ranks at 4.48 inches high by 2.6 inches wide by 0.59 inch deep and 4.8 ounces.  The Bold 9700 goes side by side better with the BlackBerry Tour, which used to be oh so small and slim in our eyes until the new Bold came in town.

blackberry os info pages

It seems as though OS 5.0 has been quite the talk for the past few months as you can see on many blogs and forums.  Confidence in BlackBerry owners hasn’t been too high when it comes to installing BlackBerry OS 5.0 because it is leaked and many are in fear of getting a “BrickBerry” (bricking your BlackBerry) as an aftermath.  We just wanted to run a quick poll for the day to see how many of you are running OS 5.0, leaked OS other than 5.0, different carrier official OS, or your carrier’s official OS.  Continue reading to participate in the poll, and drop us a line below if you have anything else you’d like to add.  You must be on a Mac or PC to be able to vote properly.

Indonesia Mobile Web Usage

The United States has this assumption that the Apple iPhone is the best, most successful selling mobile device in the whole world.  It appears that surveys in Indonesia prove otherwise.  Indonesia has the world’s fastest growing mobile consumer markets as of today, and it looks the the BlackBerry is well ahead of the iPhone.  An advertising company InMobi, has BlackBerry ad requests which have increased by 842% while the iPhone ad requests on Indonesia iPhones have by only 205%.  The overall experience craved is clearly the BlackBerry in Indonesia where records are broken in every way possible.  There are about 9 million mobile Internet users at the moment in the country with approximately 591 page views per user which exceeds the global average that’s 250 page views per user (as of 2009).
