We’ve seen the official Zara shopping application launch on BlackBerry 10 officially in the past. Now we see the official H&M application launch as well. A few funny things about this application though. The screenshots from BlackBerry World (as seen below) come from iOS, and this application is not even ported. Furthermore, it looks like all the application is really, is just the mobile website launching. Not really impressed here, and H&M could have done better on this one to be honest. Either way, it is an easy way to access H&M and share items with your friends via BBM, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and even Google+. The application is free and can be found in BlackBerry World.

Last week there was a tease that Endomondo would be having an announcement this week at BlackBerry Live.  It looks like last night, Endomondo was available in BlackBerry World – but as an Android port.  As an Android ported application, it’s pretty smooth to navigate with and all functionality is still there.  There’s tons of free features including tracking your distance, speed even calories when on the move.  There are a few premium features as well too, which also remove in application advertisements.  Check out more at BlackBerry World on Endomondo Sports Tracker.

A new sideload of Instagram just surfaced today.  According to BBEmpire, the version is 3.4.4 and runs much smoother than the previous leak we had.  Also, no workarounds are needed as far as logging it which is definitely a plus for those who install leaked OS builds and have to sideload all their favorite android applications again.  Download and try at your own risk!

nytimes bb10

The New York Times application for BlackBerry 10 is a fantastic news reader.  Maybe some get discouraged by the premium subscriptions required for navigating beyond the main page.  It looks like you can get New York Times unlimited access as a special promotion for BlackBerry 10 until June 26th!  Head over to BlackBerry World and download the app to be enrolled while the offer lasts.

It looks like users can start downloading the beta today as it was mentioned on stage to be available today and released worldwide in a few months.  BBM Channels is now available in BlackBerry Beta Zone for those who want to hop on the new app and get their feet wet.  What’s cool about it is that older legacy BlackBerry devices are supported for BBM Channels, so it’s not just a BB10 thing.  Any way, head over to BlackBerry Beta Zone to grab the beta for both BlackBerry 10 and legacy 5.0+ devices.

A few weeks ago, Skype Preview was made available for the BlackBerry Q10 running OS 10.1.  Of course, it later leaked for the Z10 running 10.0 (as a sideload).  However, now it looks like Skype Preview has been made officially available for the Z10 running OS 10.1.  OS 10.1 is currently rolling out in “the next few weeks” as it already has been in some regions.  Leaks of the OS have surfaced, so users have been able to get their feet wet a little early on.  For those already on OS 10.1, be sure to check out Skype Preview for BlackBerry Z10.

Some of you might be missing themes from the legacy BlackBerry devices as you have upgraded to a Z10 or Q10.  S4BB makes it possible to get some customization to your home screen with their free application called Theme.  We got the word that the application recently updated to version 1.3.0.4 adding a few new goodies:

  • 10 new themes to choose from
  • Choose images from your device
  • Use a picture that was taken from your camera

The only thing I am particular about is that I would prefer having a separate image on the lock screen, as we are capable of doing so on other platforms such as iOS.  This of course is not limited by the application, but more or so on the operating system itself.  Either way, this is a great app to download to switch up your wallpapers and home screen look. Check out Theme by S4BB free in BlackBerry World today.

One of the most missed applications from myself, and I am sure others would agree is well is Poynt.  Since making the switch to BlackBerry 10, it was such a downside to not have Poynt available for the platform.  We received a tip from reader “shigidy” that Poynt is now available so here it is! The application is very impressive – given that it is an Android port.  Don’t jump the gun fast and assume the performance sucks though.  The developers did an excellent job porting this one over, and is definitely better than any sideload of Poynt I have used.  The navigation is really smooth, and it’s absolutely not necessary to swipe down to bring up the Android button functions.  Grab your copy today at BlackBerry World.
