With BlackBerry DevCon Europe coming up right around the corner on February 7th through 8th in Amsterdam, a mobile application has rolled out for all attendees.  Just like we’ve seen here in the United States, the mobile application allows you to sign up for sessions, see what’s available, and of course keeps your day organized as it syncs with your native Calendar application so you won’t miss any of your events.

Whether you’re attending the event or not, it should be really exciting to see what RIM has in store for the event.  I’m expecting to see a lot of BlackBerry 10 coverage as well as PlayBook OS 2.0 demoing.

 Yesterday we let you know about the Animated Avatar application for BBM which brought all animated avatars in an easy user interface.  Some suggest an app is useless when you can go to a mobile site and download them that way, while others prefer applications for everything.  The choice is yours! Either way, the Animated Avatar for BBM app has updated to version 1.2 adding easier navigation to the app, a refresh/update button so you can see if new avatars have been uploaded, and general bug fixes.

Animated avatars for BlackBerry Messenger are in this season.  Ever since the latest update of BBM, we’ve been able to have avatars with animations.  There’s been several discoveries of websites which have animated avatars scaled down to work for BBM.  Animated Avatars is a free application for BlackBerry smartphones which brings all these animated avatars in an easy user interface for you to browse through and download.

We reviewed Doodle Blast last April which is a really cool game for the BlackBerry PlayBook. The concept of the game is simple. Guide the marbles into the jar with a limited amount of ink. Well looks like Flexible Air has updated Doodle Blast now offering more levels. They have also made some cosmetic updates to the games as well.

BlackBerry Traffic got a small update yesterday to version 3.0.1.21.  In this update is a few bug fixes.  I haven’t used the application thoroughly but apparently users were having issues where the guidance would stop out of nowhere.  That issue has been resolved.  Other bug fixes include BlackBerry calendar integration and a fix for Bluetooth not disengaging when audio on the app is muted.  The update is available in BlackBerry App World.

WhatsApp Messenger for BlackBerry got a huge revamp last week.  The update appeared to be available directly from the WhatsApp website, and may have possibly been a beta build.  Either way, the final release is now available in BlackBerry App World to download.

Have you ever received a BBM from someone which you don’t want to reply back to, but feel obligated read what they had to say?  As soon as you open up and read the message, they’ll see you read it which may require you to reply back.  Peep It is a new application (currently in beta) which allows you to read BBM messages without sending a read receipt back.  So it’ll stay on the “delivered” stage until you physically open up the BBM message yourself.  Sweet.
