I know at one point in time or another most of us has had the very popular Chopper game on our devices. Well finally Anjani InfoTech Private Limited has brought the Chopper game back with a nice little addition of BBM Connect. You can now challenge your friends scores, post scores, and invite friends to download.

The app is very smooth and works with the touch screen and non touch screen devices. The concept of Chopper is easy; guide your chopper through the treacherous tunnel without slamming into the walls. I don’t know what it is about the retro arcade games like Vector Runner, and Pew Pew 2, but they really grab my attention. It really must be the bright lights or the cool sounds. Well while browsing App World on my PlayBook I came across Aeon Racer, which is another retro looking arcade game. This game is action packed, and as long as you like fun, looking for adventure while dodging obstacles and going fast then this is a must have for you.

It looks like KAYAK is now available on the BlackBerry PlayBook.  We’ve seen it before on BlackBerry smartphones in the past but now it looks like the app has been ported over from Android to the PlayBook.  With KAYAK, you can book your flight, hotel and car rental all in one easy to use interface.  Features include:

• Book your travel
• View and organize your trip itinerary
• Look up baggage fees
• Airline numbers and airport info

 Who says you can’t have Instagram on BlackBerry? Well you still can’t but here’s a knock off version called “Instigram”.  It isn’t exactly the same either but at least you can tell your friends you have it on your BlackBerry.  The app doesn’t work the same either.  This is based on The Jared Company’s application called ShareIt, where you can easily share photos to Twitter and Facebook.  You can do so natively on BlackBerry smartphones but if you desire to through an easier one stop, check out Instigram.  It’s free to download from BlackBerry App World.

ScrapBook doesn’t always necessarily update when new features are available.  Lately we’ve been seeing new picture packs to download available within the application itself.  Yesterday a new Cut-Outs pack became available to download in Scrapbook.  These images you can add look more or so like hand drawn pictures and messages which are cut out of paper as seen in the image above.  Head over to Scrapbook on your PlayBook and download the new Cut-Outs pack free today.

 Looks like Union brings over another awesome game to the PlayBook by the name of Frisbee Forever. There are a lot of great things about this game, and as I continue to play I find more. Frisbee Forever you must throw your frisbee and navigate it through an obstacle course making sure you collect the gold stars. Collect as many gold stars as you can so you can shop in fir more frisbees, and other extras.

Another great feature is buying more star coins in the app, so you can buy even more items from the store. It’s great to see apps that allow you to buy additional items while playing the game. There are over 100 tracks, and over 100 frisbees, and even secret levels to play.

This game is really addicting and I haven’t been able to put it down, and neither will you, so grab your frisbee and see if you can become a frisbee master! So head down to App World and pick up Frisbee Forever for the BlackBerry PlayBook for FREE.

The cross platform messenger WhatsApp Messenger received a small update to version 2.7.6401.  There does not seem to be any change log for this one, so we’ll take it as general bug fixes here.  In any case, WhatsApp Messenger v2.7 brought on a lot of goodies including a new user interface which was much needed since other platforms had it nicer than BlackBerry smartphones.  Click the link below to download the latest WhatsApp Messenger update.

Gist for BlackBerry smartphones updated last week to version 1.7.0.  In this release we see a couple changes, as it isn’t a major jump up in versions.  First, the “Get the Gist” feature has been added for contact groups.  Previously it was available for individual contacts which was great.  Since contact groups are available natively, Gist now supports them.  For bug fixes, error messages will be detailed rather than generic ones that prompt.  This was by request of users, so it might be useful when an error message pops up.  The update is available free at BlackBerry App World.

 A few weeks ago we let you know about Sketch W Friends, a cross platform game similar to Draw Something and just as fun.  It looks like the game has now updated to version 2.0, adding a bunch of goodies including a new user interface and more.
