It’s been very exciting during the past few days as we’ve been testing out the all new BlackBerry Bold 9700 for T-Mobile. So far, we have been impressed by its enhancements and new features. The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is the second generation Bold to release just one year after the first 9000 made its way to us. Overall, we see that the size has been greatly reduced and the all new trackpad has officially replaced the trackball.
The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is the thinnest BlackBerry on the market. The most noticeable difference between the new Bold and the old one is the sizw. The new Bold now measures at 4.29 inches tall by 2.36 inches wide by 0.56 inch thick and weighs about 4.3 ounces while the original Bold ranks at 4.48 inches high by 2.6 inches wide by 0.59 inch deep and 4.8 ounces. The Bold 9700 goes side by side better with the BlackBerry Tour, which used to be oh so small and slim in our eyes until the new Bold came in town.

Curious as to whether or not your BlackBerry will be getting an OS 5.0 update? The lucky chosen list was found on the official BlackBerry site under Support & Services. There will be some disappoints for some as your device may not appear here. Many of us were thrown off seeing that the BlackBerry Curve 8330 was getting OS 5.0 leaks, which hinted that other 83xx series could get the OS as well, but in reality we were wrong. It looks like the only Curve devices getting OS 5.0 are the 8330, 8350i, and 8900. The 81xx Pearl series is getting phased out it looks like, as we should be introduced the 91xx series devices as soon as early next year. Continue reading to check out the full list of OS 5.0 compatible devices.
Free Applications, Headline, IM / Social Networking »

Social networking as become a big movement over the past years. Lately it has reached out to mobile phone access so you can do it all wirelessly everywhere you go. Over the years, BlackBerry (third party companies too) have launched many applications for the device, making it unnecessary to ever log in to these social networks via PC or Mac again. We gathered 5 great applications we though would be necessary for the true BlackBerry social networker. Continue reading to check them out and download as we also provided over the air (OTA) links for all them. Keep in mind these are all free applications for anyone to download for BlackBerry. (more…)

Everyone is hectic looking for the right leaked OS 5.0 all over the web and it can become a bit overwhelming. We have went ahead and provided the download links for both Mac installs and PC installs for all the OS 5.0 leaks available out there so far. Here are the latest updated links for OS 5.0 that will install via BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac. If any links come up inactive or not working, please drop us a comment below and we’ll make sure to get the updated link right away.

Here’s something we’ve been waiting to hear about for quite a long time. As YouTube and other types of embedded media get popular on the web, a high demand for Flash mobile support increases. RIM and Adobe have announced that they are teaming up to get Flash Player support on the BlackBerry platform. Once upon a time, we kept our RSS feeds and eyes close to Skyfire who have a alpha Internet Browser which supports Flash and all sorts of embedded media. As Skyfire stays in a private alpha testing stage, perhaps RIM and Adobe will come up with something sooner in best hopes. You can read more about the venture by visiting the Open Screen Project. Before you all get excited, this isn’t a full blown BlackBerry laptop with a processor and all sorts of goodies. Its basic purpose is to emulate your exact BlackBerry screen on this “laptop” which consists basically of a screen and keyboard with no actual internal hardware. The motion and navigation of the device is supposedly live and up to date as far as motion and activity goes. So what about the BlackBerry to REDFLY laptop connections? You can sync your BlackBerry with the REDFLY device either through USB or Bluetooth. In the back of the device, you’ll see that there are two USB devices which we are uncertain why two of them are necessary. (more…)

So far this has been the best OtterBox for BlackBerry to ever release. We’re all familiar with the Defender Series which is the biggest OtterBox housing you can get with maximum protection. Then later on came the Impact Series which consisted of a heavy duty silicon case with a screen cover. How about something right in the middle? OtterBox has just recently released the Commuter Series which is right down the middle between the Impact and Defender. It holds all characteristics of the Defender Series, but is very much slim like the Impact. As you can see, there is the rubberized silicon case on the outside. Next you have the hard shell case which puts the best protection for your BlackBerry. And lastly, you’ll have your thermal sheet going all over the BlackBerry itself. (more…)
