The BlackBerry Bold 9790 finally received some OS 7.1 love last night.  This one’s 7.1.0.247, a newer OS than seen on other BlackBerry 7 smartphones.  There doesn’t seem to be any official features available in this version but let us know what you spot! Download mirrors below..

It looks like BlackBerry London has made an appearance once again. This time we get a clearer image with some promotional writing on its left. Of course it will be packing OS 10 and awesome hardware hopefully. Looks kinda like a Droid?

We heard rumors on a convertible case with a built in keyboard and trackpad launching for the BlackBerry PlayBook.  Unfortunately time has gone by and we haven’t heard any official announcements from RIM.  BerryReview got some slides detailing the keyboard and it’s looking sweet.  Here are some highlighted features:

  • Both a keyboard and a touchpad
  • Can last up to 30 days on a charge
  • Comes with a case that folds over your PlayBook
  • Multitouch touchpad with one finger left click and two finger right click (for remote desktop apps)
  • Mouse scrolling with two fingers on the touchpad
  • Charges via MicroUSB

More slide images after the jump!

The BlackBerry Bold 9900, Torch 9860 and Torch 9810 got a new OS leak today. Thankfully it’s a newer build of OS 7.1 which hopefully is more stable than previous versions that leaked. All download links below. If you decide to install let us know how it is.

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 has joined in on the OS 7.1 leakage which we saw go on since last week.  It looks like the Curve 9360 gets the same version as the rest- 7.1.0.190.  And yes, it does support Mobile Hotspot!  Again it is not official, so if you decide to download it, do so at your own risk!

Now all the major players have leaked and official builds of OS 7.1!  Here’s OS 7.1.0.190 for the BlackBerry Torch 9810 and Torch 9860.  We saw a hybrid build of OS 7.1 for the Torch 9810 in the past, but it wasn’t stable in anyway. Mobile hotspot worked at least.  So these are leaked versions still but download and install at your own risk.  On the Bold 9900, this same OS came to be really stable, performing better than other 7.0’s in my opinion.  Give it a shot and let us know!

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 just got a second leak for OS 7.1.  Back in November we saw an earlier release, but it was really buggy and didn’t work too well for many users- other than the fact that you could use the Mobile Hotspot feature.  Here’s hoping to a more stable build! Download and install at your own risk of course.

Earlier today we let you know that the BlackBerry Porsche P’9981 was available for pre-order.  The device launches officially in February.  On a side note, the folks over at Gadzone managed to extract the COD’s from the device.  If you don’t know what to do with these, please don’t touch! Otherwise, I’m looking forward to seeing some OS creativity here.

I’ve been curious to see where RIM would go with its next generation model numbers since we’ve reached numbers as high as 9930 and 9981. According to the system for Asurion which is a company that insures mobiles, a BlackBerry Torch 10000 for AT&T is listed. This device could and SHOULD be the new QNX (BlackBerry 10) enabled BlackBerry smartphone It looks like RIM is going with 5 digit model numbers now instead of the 4 since they ran out. This is interesting.
