Wow. This is something. A few months back, we let you know about TrueSupplier selling parts for the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 and even the Tour 9650 which came to be quite a shock. Now we’re seeing that they’re carrying full QWERTY keyboards for the Pearl 9100 which is quite shocking. Who’s going to type on such tiny keys? Kevin from CrackBerry suggests that this could be for children. I hope it’s convenient for everyone to be honest, but don’t know what to expect from a device as small as the Pearl. Would you guys get a QWERTY or SureType Pearl 9100?

I honestly couldn’t stop thinking about this all new BlackBerry slider that got leaked pictures since last night. Here are some more pictures of it, looking sexier than ever. As I see it up close, I’m more firm on it being in the Bold series as it does have similar looks to it. According to BBLeaks, the battery is dead in the unit so we don’t know much about its experience just yet. Speaking of the battery, it isn’t the same as the Bold 9000 and 9700, as it is a new designed one only 1050mAh unfortunately, but we’ll let it slide for now and see how optimized the device runs. Is that going to be its final battery? It looks like it so far, but we can always get extended ones if need be. Hit the jump for more full size images.

To put the weekend on a good note, we gave you leaked details on the BlackBerry Slider that has been rumored. The folks over at BBLeaks have managed to get some screenshots of the the device. Pretty damn sexy if you ask me. We’re happy to see that it does come with a trackpad. Hopefully that stays in the final release also. According to the details confirmed, it will be touch screen, so having a trackpad or not raised a lot of questions. We can all rest assure that it does have one, so far. Keyboard appears to be the same as the Bold and Tour which I like. The Curve keys just wouldn’t look right. Hit the jump to check out the other screenshot.

We heard leaked details on a BlackBerry slider device some time ago, and assumed it would be of the Storm series. So what do we know so far? From what we understood, it would have a sliding keyboard in portrait mode, keeping very “BlackBerry-like” and not so HTC-ish. Boy Genius talks about these rumors for the device:
- It’s a portrait-oriented slider. While most people assume a device with slideout keyboard would end up being something like HTC’s devices, we’ve been told this particular handset is more like the Palm Pre in terms of layout.
- The phone will run BlackBerry OS 6.0
- The rumored device will 100% support Wi-Fi 802.11n
- The resolution unfortunately has not improved, it is still 360×480.
- No word on if this will have a touch screen, but we’d assume so, and our source alluded to this possibly being what the rumored BlackBerry Magnum/Dakota evolved into. Not saying there won’t be a Bold-like device with touchscreen, optical trackpad, and physical keyboard, but this might be released first.
- If it does have a touch screen, this could in fact be the mythical BlackBerry Storm slider — picture a Storm 9520 with a slide up Bold-esque keyboard.
- The phone will not be a Verizon exclusive — it’s supposed to be a GSM/HSPA device.

UPDATE: FAKE! We’ve received several reports and links to sites showing similar images. We hope to see something in the future for it though. Thanks to all for letting us know about it.
What is this BlackBerry? I am baffled, but before we continue, we don’t know what is going on here. We got a random email from an address we couldn’t reply to with the name Xena (let me know if you guys want to try emailing him/her yourselves), with just this small part of a picture showing the top of a BlackBerry with a front facing camera. My guess is this is just a fake, as I will continue my search finding replicas or some sort of explanation to it. If any of you have an answer drop us a line and we’ll throw an update on this post.

I came across this eBay auction today on the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 unlocked and brand new. It’s going for $459.99 plus shipping but something just doesn’t seem right. The image looked too familiar and that’s when I realized that it comes from Salomondrin’s video review posted a few months back. The seller has decent feedback, and does promise a 7 day money back guarantee. I read the description over and over but there seems to be no fine print about it. Is it fake or real? The image isn’t of the actual device so you make your decision.

I have no problem seeing free applications out there monetizing. Even if that means having advertisements within their application such as UberTwitter. The whole world complained once it got advertisements which was ridiculous as a premium $4.99 version was available ad-free. Developers need and deserve to make their money somehow. Pop-up ads wouldn’t be so savvy, as that’s how it looks to be in the sketch above. As PC gets spyware and Macs stay safe (for the most part), is RIM going to be the new PC? I sure hope not. That’s one way to look at it if you look too much into the sketches. This can’t be totally bad and can actually have a positive influence on BlackBerry and its users.

According to BGR, RIM is expected to make a huge announcement this Tueday at MWC (Mobile World Congress) which is being held in Barcelona. The source seems to be from RIM employees, saying that Mike Lazaridis will be talking about BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express (BESX). The services will be launched free as a BlachBerry Enterprise Server which is really exciting. The assumption is that BESX will be using your existing BIS data plan, without having to upgrade to a more expensive one. On the other hand, some folks on Twitter are talking about a whole other data plan from BlackBerry to launch, but I don’t see that being likely just yet as it seems too early to assume.

We’re a bit late in mentioning, but we just got looked through our email tips to find that the official Twitter App by RIM has been leaked out in the open. It was just yesterday we were reviewing the new application, giving you all the ins and outs of it. So much for closed beta. Any way, here are the OTA links below brought to you by the folks over at BBHybrids. Enjoy yourselves.

Here we are all excited about seeing OS 5.0.1 when 5.7.0 pops up out of nowhere. Just to quickly recap what we’re seeing, its a BlackBerry 9990 running OS 5.7.0.151. If you can recall, we heard rumors in the past and some some odd (maybe fake) screenshots of a Rogers poster with the BlackBerry 9900 which is assumed to be a touch screen and QWERTY device. We even heard recent rumors that the device could come this year also, but details are still too general and based off of rumors. This screenshot popped up on BBMCHAT’s Twitter today and we are still amazed by it and want to see more.
As for observations, this doesn’t look like the QWERTY touch screen BlackBerry we saw not too long ago. Let’s face it, the screen here looks pretty damn long as if it were a Storm (or how about a Pearl Flip). I must say, it gets me happy seeing its a 3G device, as many of you thought was going to be the norm for all next generation BlackBerry smartphones, but we have a BlackBerry Curve 8910 coming with no 3G. What are your thoughts on this?
