It’s a double deal from Hutchinson today as they have officially released OS 5.0.0.822 for the BlackBerry Bold 9000 and the BlackBerry Curve 8900. So if you’re on an earlier version of OS 5.0, you may want to check this out as it may be more stable for you.

Yesterday we had one too many emails from folks asking how to install hybrids, why their Berrys got bricked, and sorts of other messes. So we ask you once more to please do this only if you know what you are doing and at your own risk. These are hybrid BlackBerry OS versions with some OS 6.0 and 5.0 files mixed up together. This is 6.0.0.31 for the BlackBerry Tour 9630 and Bold 9650. If you are one of these Berry savvy people who know what you’re doing, let us know about your experience with the OS.

It looks like Driphter has posted up some more hybrids for OS 6.0 once again. Don’t do this, if you don’t know what you’re doing. This is for those curious folks looking to get in on the OS 6.0 hybrids available at the moment. I haven’t tried any of these hybrids before, but we did end up posting them last time by email requests. It’s been awhile since we’ve had an OS update or leak so here’s one to start off with. Although the BlackBerry Curve 9300 is not officially out yet, a new OS for it has been leaked. BlackBerry Storm 9530 OS 5.0.0.685 Leaked Online

The first generation BlackBerry Storm 9530 seems to be left behind quite a bit as far as OS updates go. Over the weekend, a new OS has been leaked, ranking at version 5.0.0.685. Of course it is leaked, but it is the highest and latest version available yet. I did an install earlier this morning on my old throwback Storm and I must say I’m a lot happier with it than I was with the native Verizon OS on there. Download and install at your own risk of course and feel free to share with us what your experiences were like with it.
