We’re a little late in mentioning but we just got a tip email from Christina B. that OS 5.0.0.436 has been leaked for the BlackBerry Storm 2 9520.  You know the drill.  It’s leaked so download and install at your own risk and don’t expect the link to work for a very long time so get it while you can.  This is OS 5.0.0.436 for the BlackBerry Storm 2 9520 only and is not compatible with any other models.  Enjoy.

Earlier this month, the Storm 2 9550 got the same OS leak leaving the 9520 behind.  Just in late last night we got the word that a 5.0.0.428 was also floating around for the 9520.  The link won’t be active for long as it is leaked and not officially released by RIM.  Download at your own risk and let us know of any changes you see.  Enjoy.

With the BlackBerry Bold 9700 taking all the spotlight on OS updates and leaks, it’s finally time to switch it up a little.  The BlackBerry Storm 9520 gets an OS update today, leaked of course, which you should download and install at your own risk as it is not an official download.  We have no log on changes made in this OS, but if you do bump into any drastic changes, drop us a line! Do you own a Vodafone BlackBerry Storm 2 9520?  If so, you’ll be able to update the OS to 5.0.0.306 through BlackBerry Desktop Manager.  This is an official OS update, but for some odd reason, it is not available for a .exe download whatsoever.  Upon plugging your Storm2 9520 in and launching BlackBerry Desktop Manager, you’ll see that an upgrade will come up and prompt you to install.

Got a BlackBerry Storm 2 9520 by any chance? Sure the device isn’t out, but you might be one of many who got lucky rockin’ the device before Verizon and Vodafone’s release dates.  In that case, we got OS 5.0.0.287 leaked that you can download right to your Storm 2.  This is not compatible with the 9550 or any other Storm so keep in mind that you will need the 9520 Storm 2 in order to install this successfully.
