So BlackBerry 10 is on its way as the latest word promises a timeframe of early 2013.  Some of the leaked roadmaps indicate that a full touchscreen device and QWERTY device will launch within the same quarter.  As a BlackBerry user, I must say that it is tough part ways with my physical keyboard, although the all new patented onscreen keyboard looks quite appealing as well.  Let us know what your thoughts are on the matter, and which direction you plan on going once BlackBerry 10 does take off with both an all touchscreen device and QWERTY keyboard model as well.

Premium services aren’t for everyone, and even if they are it’s not necessarily always worth it.  BBM Music was a really fun beta application to test out for the last few months now.  The free fun is about to come to an end as RIM has rolled out its pricing plan to be $4.99 per month to use.

For me, I’ll end up keeping it as I have come to rely on it a lot for my music and have set different playlists on it which consists of my music along with other people’s music which might be my direct BBM contact or just added through the application.

That’s only my side and I’m sure many of you have your own opinions.  Will you be keeping BBM Music services after the trial expires? Let us know in the comments and tweet us!

torch 9810 back zoomed up

I feel like T-Mobile users are already spoiled enough with the BlackBerry Bold 9900 that the Torch 9810 doesn’t even matter.  Of course that’s my own opinion and the carrier’s customers would speak better on the matter than anyone else.  The BlackBerry Bold 9900 offers both touchscreen and full QWERTY keyboard solution in a really slim body and wide as the Bold 9000 which was favored by many.  The device sold out in less than 24 hours as well which only meant that the people wanted it.  Now there’s rumors that the BlackBerry Torch 9810 is headed to T-Mobile, and we’re just curious to see if anyone cares for it. The Torch 9860 is allegedly on the way as well which offers a full touchscreen solution, giving you the “multimedia powerhouse” as RIM refers to it.  Let us know your thoughts!

It’s not the first time we ask our readers this question, but it tends to change from time to time.  From one stand point, there are some folks out there who had faith in RIM on releasing the ultimate device that supported high quality games and apps like its competitors.  Some others are satisfied with the progress so far or just don’t really care for it at the moment.  All the odd “leaks” lately displaying BBM on Android devices got me wondering how many BlackBerry users out there would actually leave the brand for an Android device if BBM was included.  I’ll admit it would be a cool combination, but would definitely miss the BlackBerry OS user interface.  Let us know in the comments.

playbook with black background

Over the last two weeks we let you know about the BlackBerry PlayBook getting its price slashed in many different retail locations.  Some places you could get it for half off including Staples.  For those who thought $499 was too much or out of budget, did you pick one up at the discounted price that it’s at now?  Are you planning on it?  Let us know in the comments!

blackberry bridge

One of the key features of the BlackBerry PlayBook is BlackBerry Bridge.  Some see it as an inconvenience because they’d rather have everything natively on the tablet, while others see it as a secure way of accessing your personal stuff including email, BBM, calendar, and more.  I find myself not using Bridge as much as I see others use it and wanted to know how the majority went about it.  Some people I found having it connected all the time when using their PlayBook and others only did when wanting to BBM or email freely on a larger touchscreen display.  Let us know in the comments!

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 in my opinion was a big hit device as far as BlackBerry devices go.  It was the first BlackBerry to get a full physical keyboard with touchscreen capability.  Although the device lacked speed with its old school processor, it was still a preferred device for many.  Now that there’s other new BlackBerry devices on the market including the Torch 9810/9850/9860 and Bold 9900/9930, We want to know who’s staying loyal to the original Torch form factor and going with the Torch 9810. We’ve put up polls and surveys like this in the past, but I feel like now is a good time to see how Berry users feel about what’s currently out there.  RIM officially announced the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 (was previously announced at BBWC 2011 actually), Torch 9850/9860, and Torch 9810.  Since then we’ve been seeing endless photos and hands on video clips with the devices.  Based on what you’ve seen so far, which device is best suited for you and why? Drop us a line in the comments and tweet away!

As you all know by now, RIM pulled out OS 1.0.7 for the BlackBerry PlayBook due to users having issues with BlackBerry Bridge.  It’s enough we don’t have native email, and now Bridge just doesn’t work for some.  So we wanted to see how many of you out there are having issues with it versus those who have it working just fine.

BlackBerry Bold 9900 wins in this poll by a lot.  There’s been a demand for a Bold style device with a full QWERTY keyboard and a touchscreen up top, no sliding required.  Here are the full stats from our poll:

  • BlackBerry Torch 2 9810 – 21.74%
  • BlackBerry Touch 9860 11.96%

Next after the Bold 9900 comes the Torch 2 which 21.74%.  After that it’s downhill with the Curve Apollo at a low 4.35%, and Touch 9860 at 11.96%.  If you really think about it, those two last place devices really haven’t had much leakage on the web yet, so we haven’t seen it in as much as action as the Torch 2 and Bold 9900.  Both those devices gained a lot of spotlight as the Bold 9900 was officially announced at BlackBerry World 2011, and the Torch 2 keeps getting spotted camera, more or so recently on HD photos and video.
