Based on the small poll we put up a couple days ago, the majority wants native BBM on the BlackBerry PlayBook. Native email is already confirmed, as RIM broke the news out during BlackBerry World 2011. In the end of the day, BlackBerry Bridge is a cool feature to have, and being able to use Bridge Browser anywhere your BlackBerry smartphone has service is pretty awesome. With that said, it would be great as an option, and not so much mandatory to get the real BlackBerry experience.

Each BlackBerry PlayBook carries a unique PIN, but you cannot BBM with it solely – it requires BlackBerry Bridge. At BlackBerry World 2011, RIM announced native email coming to the PlayBook this summer, but we’re left in the dark for BBM, assuming it will remain to be reliant on the Bridge service. So we want to hear your opinions. Would you want native BlackBerry Messenger on your BlackBerry PlayBook or do you like it bridged with your smartphone where you have all your same contacts and friends of yours don’t have to have you on their list for two devices? The BlackBerry PlayBook finally supports BBM, as RIM announced it last week at BlackBerry World 2011. It’s definitely a work in progress as it works a little sluggish and still doesn’t support groups. During the conference we saw a decent amount of people using BBM on their PlayBooks with their BlackBerry smartphones in their pockets. So we want to know how you guys use it. The BlackBerry Mobile Conferencing application launched in Beta Zone on Friday, making conference calls work a breeze on the BlackBerry. This was quite a random application to release, which some felt should just be integrated with the next OS 6.1. Surely this app is great for business users, but we’d like to get an idea of how many exactly tried the application out, finding interest of some sort in it. The BlackBerry PlayBook was officially announced yesterday, and pre-orders went up all over the web. From the long list of retail locations carrying the tablet, I figured a pre-order may not have been so necessary, but that’s just a quick thought.
We want to know how many of you actually went ahead with pre-ordering, and who’s actually waiting on the device. If you’re browsing on your computer or via webkit browser, cast your vote in the poll above. Otherwise tweet us or drop a line the comments!

Backup is important. Who likes to lose all their info from their BlackBerrys when they’re lost or stolen, or even crash? RIM recently launched BlackBerry Protect as an open beta which allows you to wirelessly backup you device, wipe it if it is stolen, track it, and much more. It’s been out for a few days and we’re curious to see how many of you have hopped on to try it out.
Cast your votes in our poll, tweet us, or drop a line in the comments and let us know about your BlackBerry Protect experience.

Allerta officially launched the inPulse Smartwatch, or as we like to call it the “BlackBerry watch” late last week. We’ve spent the last two years glancing at whole project in the making, and are thrilled to see the final release is here. But everyone is different, and some may find this watch handy while others won’t. Over the years after all the hype built up for the inPulse, we want to know who’s buying one and who’s not.
