It’s definitely not available in the Amazon Appstore or BlackBerry World but it “works.”  In that I mean that there are some things in the game which do not show on the BlackBerry Passport in specific due to the symmetrical resolution (my guess at least).  However, on all other BlackBerry 10 devices I tried this on including the Z10 and Z30, everything comes out just fine.  So what’s missing? Two things – when playing missions which include dance moves to follow (DDR style), the moves are on the lower part of the screen which seems to be cut off on the Passport.  With that said, the radio station changing is the second piece which does not work.  Both of these don’t really bother me honestly but, some of you who are mission intensive may care for it – and again this only matters if you’re on the BlackBerry Passport to begin with.

So we finally got around to uploading the hands-on video from last night at the Porsche Event held in New York City.  Initial impressions were quite nice in my opinion, and it feels somewhat like the former P’9981, from a material perspective.  Of course, a whole different device, and operating system with BlackBerry 10.  Under the hood it’s a Z10, but cosmetically nice and definitely stands out next to any other smartphone. Some things I was really fond of was how specific the branding goes here.  The ID card enclosed as soon as you open the box, the Porsche style clock (digital and analog) and even the battery itself branded with Porsche.  In the video, we take a quick dive at the device prior to attending the Porsche event.  You’ll see a quick comparison with my Z10 so you can get a good idea of what to expect from aspect ratios and all that good stuff. Enjoy the video.  Also be sure to check out the images below showing the device in all angles.

Do you like carnival games? Do you go to Chuck E Cheese’s just to play games like Skee Ball, and have angry kids kicking your shins because you are hogging the Skee Ball game, which then leads into getting banned from Chuck E Cheese? Well, maybe all of that wouldn’t happen but it could, and now you don’t have to worry about that scenario ever happening. You can now enjoy Skee Ball on your BlackBerry 10 device with Toss Alley. Even though I have a knack for taking and posting pictures that haven’t been edited in any way on my photo blog, I do have a little secret. I love playing with photo apps that allow me to add filters and overlays to give it a different look, or feel. It’s one reason why apps like Instagram (that can currently be sideloaded on BlackBerry 10 devices) or PicMix or Pix Story have been popular applications. It’s also why on BlackBerry 10 you have the ability to really edit your photos, which wasn’t an option on the previous BlackBerry OS. (more…)

Here is a cool app that just hit BlackBerry World! It’s called Flash Ring, and it alerts you of incoming calls and even BBM voice calls by making the flash on your camera strobe. It’s something that some might have seen on friends or family members  iPhone. Now that ability is available for your BlackBerry 10 devices. Flash Ring is a really cool app, and you can adjust the frequency of the flash speed, set the front LED, and the camera flash when it rings. Flash Ring utilizes your camera permissions, so it will not work if another camera app is open, and the app must be open as an active tile for it to run (that of course is until BlackBerry releases the ability to create headless apps for all developers).  Flash Ring is a must have app, and if you want to see it in action check out the video here! Flash Ring can be found in BlackBerry World for a very affordable for $0.99. So point your Z10 or Q10 to the link below!

We told you about the launch of the new skins from dbrand Inc last month! Well we got our hands on a few of these skins for our BlackBerry Z10, and what better place to show them off , then BlackBerry Live. I must admit when I first heard about these skins I was really excited, but shortly after getting my skins I got really nervous. How was I going to get these skins on. I’m very picky. If it was put on crooked or I didn’t have it lined up then what would I do.

Browsing through BlackBerry World on my BlackBerry PlayBook I came across Rasta Speed. I must admit it the word rasta caught my attention, and I had to see what Rasta Speed was all about. Rasta Speed is an Android port, and is available for BlackBerry PlayBook and for BlackBerry 10 devices. Rasta Speed is an addicting two player game that test speed and reflexes. Rasta Speed will display a name of a color either RED, YELLOW, or GREEN (I’m pretty sure that’s why the name of the game is called Rasta Speed, just a guess though), and you must tap that color before your opponent. The game gets trickier as it continues. Points are score by touching the correct color first, and points can be lost by touching the wrong color.

Rasta Speed is a fun FREE game that can be played either on your BlackBerry PlayBook or Z10, so follow the link below and challenge your friends for hours of fun and laughs.
