Fortunatus is an application at the PocketBerry Store with the following description:

When you start Fortunatus you will see a picture of a beautiful diamond. You can show this diamond to your friends to show you are rich. It is also possible to chat with your fellow wealthy colleagues whom also bought the program. The chat function shows real-time how many other wealthy people are using the chat function at that moment.

We’ve seen this done in the Apple App Store before, and even at the PocketBerry Store as well.  What’s crazy is that another one has surfaced here called Fortunatus, but at only half the cost of what we’ve seen a while ago.  This application gives you a bit more than the diamond photo.

So I was looking through the PocketBerry Store and I came across an app called Tweeker by Motek.  Motek is well known for a bunch of other apps including Code Muncher, Screen Muncher, and Color ID. Tweeker is built to be the quickest way to tweet; and it does what it says. After inserting your user name and password, you’ll be able to tweet as soon as the app launches. You don’t see time lines and replies, and have to press buttons to update your status. The best part is i set it as one of my convenience key and it makes it even faster to tweet.

I have had a lot of people tell me to get great accessories for your BlackBerry go to shopblackberry.com I had stopped by once or twice. I thought to myself they should make this site an app so you can shop for your device from your device. I think they were listening to my thoughts because they have a shop BlackBerry app available in App World.

As you know, the BlackBerry PlayBook is exhibiting as we speak at CES 2011 in Vegas.  RIM has made it possible for folks to touch and experience the device for a real hands-on experience, not like what we had at DEVCON 2010.  So it looks like sites who have reviewed and gotten a chance to experience the PlayBook have more positive things to say, as any complaints really exist only because the tablets are still in beta.  So here’s a quick round up of reviews and hands-on experiences for those of you interested in seeing what people think of the BlackBerry PlayBook.

I don’t know about you but I am a huge Amazon fiend. Recently I have came across a lot of people who weren’t happy with their BlackBerry because they couldn’t get music, read books, or shop online. I know, you are probably saying “WHAT?!?!?!??!” and giving the same puzzled look like I gave them. BlackBerry of course can do all of that and more. For those of you who never knew or may need a refresher I want to turn you onto 3 MUST HAVE apps from Amazon.

Although the BlackBerry Pearl 3G was originally announced at WES earlier this year, it only recently came to AT&T in the United States.  I won’t speak for everyone, but I was very excited to see a new generation Pearl launch with enhanced specs, and as we now know – supporting BlackBerry 6 OS.  I spent the last month testing the BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 full time, just to see how it suits me as I have become used to the Torch for a little while now.  Hit the jump for our full review.

We got the word last week from Sound ID that they launched an application which manages your headset’s settings and features.  EarPrint required the Sound ID 510 headset which we didn’t have at the time.  Now that we got our headset in, we’re able to take a sneak peak at the application and what it does.  So for you curious ones out there who just want to see what’s in the EarPrint app, here it is.

OtterBox has been my favorite line of BlackBerry cases for years now.  I was excited to see them roll out a Commuter case for the BlackBerry Torch 9800 from the very beginning.  Impressively, the design was sleek, fitting the Torch well and still maintaining the whole OtterBox look even though this was a slider BlackBerry unlike any other device we’ve seen before from RIM.  Hit the jump for some quick impressions on the BlackBerry Torch 9800 Commuter case.

I don’t know about all of you but I use my BlackBerry for my mobile MP3-age.  Maybe not all the time, but when I am on the road, or traveling somewhere, I do go about it.  Certainly many of you own iPods on the side to handle all your music but in the end everybody uses headphones or earbuds.  Over the past month, I’ve been testing out the Wicked Empire Lucky earbuds to see how well they worked on the go in crowded areas, or even in quiet spots zoned out.  So we decided to do a quick review here walking through some general specifics on them.  Keep in mind we are BlackBerry people, so if there’s anything in the review you’d like to know or want us to add in, kindly drop us a line.

So there wasn’t much hype at all for the BlackBerry Curve 3G since it was looked upon as a fresher version of the 8500 series Curve which is not entirely false.  It is indeed a fresher version, but along with it comes a few goodies.  We see enhanced memory in the Curve 3G 9330 along with a new face lift – but keeping the same form factor and overall design.  So over the last few days, I used the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 full time seeing how the experience would be from entry level point of view.  Hit the jump for our full review.
