We got the word last night from the folks over at Elecite that they have just rolled out a new theme called Pulse.  I use a BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 secondarily, but wish it was available for the Bold 9700.  Pulse is strictly for the Storm 1 and 2, so if you’re not an owner of either devices, just sit and drool.  Elecite has put out a trial available for this one so you can test it out before committing to purchase it.  Will we start seeing this for all future themes? Choose from any of your favorite characters: Mario, Luigi, Princess, Bowser, and Yoshi.  The theme comes custom for all five characters and icons will be adjusted accordingly.  All the icons, backgrounds, and bars up top look as though they are straight out of the game.  I encourage these developers to make a similar theme for the QWERTY people (Bold 9700, not to be so specific).  The Mario Series theme goes for only $5.99 for the BlackBerry Storm 9500 and 9530 for any character that you choose.

It’s been awhile but Hedone is back again rockin’ some more fashionable themes.  This one’s called Metalic for obvious reasons as you can see in the screenshot.  The best thing I like about the theme is that the home screen is really simple, sleek, and sexy if you ask me (whoa the three S words).  As you can’t see much on the home screen, when going to the app screen, you’ll be able to see all your accurate signal and battery meters.  Back to the home screen, you get six customizable icons along within the time and date above it to the right.  Hit the jump to check out features for each compatible device along with another screenshot to get a better idea of what to expect from Metalic.

HedoneDesign does it again! Everyone can use a fresh theme like BerryShell.  The background is very refreshing while the icons are all sleek and matching each other.  Having indicators both on the top and bottom is a real convenience and easy on the eyes where in other themes everything else is very much cluttered together.

Now here’s a theme with some nice options and widgets most haven’t seen implemented on a BlackBerry.  Before most of you get worried, this theme is for both touch screen and QWERTY BlackBerry smartphones.  Here’s a quick walk through for trackball/trackpad navigation:

• Theme Button 1 Up to Notifications Tab (tab will come down to show invisible button is highlighted) Then Click
• Scroll Down to get to messages on navigation screen
• Scroll Right from messages to get to calendar
• Scroll Down from messages/calendar to hidden today or Close notifications button (if no messages/events are displayed will go straight to close button)
• Scroll Down after clicking on Close to get to Theme button 6
• shift + A launches about screen
• shift + S launches google search
• shift + H hides google search
• shift + G shows google search
• $ = profiles
• Spacebar = QuickLaunch Shortcut
