bb entrepreneur As we attended BlackBerry Jam 2013 this past week, we had the opportunity to attend the keynote live.  The introduction of the keynote was rather entertaining and comical as it included a funny 6 minute clip with BlackBerry “judges” including Alec Saunders, Christopher Smith and Marty Mallick.  It takes you through developers approaching the judges pitching “good ideas” for applications.  You’ll have to watch it for yourselves and get a good laugh out of it! Another great marketing piece for BlackBerry developers.  Hit the jump for the full video.

The latest and greatest leaks lately in terms of BlackBerry seemed to be geared around the all new R-Series the device, known as the R10.  This device is to be the “Curve” equivalent as it is expected to sport lower specs than the other devices (Z10 and R10).  Any way, here’s a leaked video of a tutorial video for the device.  The background shows that it is just a demo, so it obviously is not the production device they will be utilizing on the device when booting up for the first time.

With the BlackBerry Z10 around, and the Q10 on the way, of course you might want some tutorials or general information on your device.  Since at this time it’s most likely the Z10, BlackBerry has a section on their YouTube channel dedicated to How To clips and tutorials for the BlackBerry Z10.  These tutorials include overviews of swipe gestures, camera, media, web browsing and more!  Click the link below to check out more information.

Well the time has finally come and here we see the Super Bowl ad campaign for BlackBerry finally take off. So far it has had some mixed opinions, based on Twitter’s critiques from those giving their two cents on all commercials today, not to mention the unfortunate blackout after halftime. The message behind the commercial is to exemplify what BlackBerry cannot do, pretty much saying that the new and improved BlackBerry 10 is very capable.

It looks like the BlackBerry Z10 couldn’t wait until January 30th to show its official face.  Here we see a pretty nice walkthrough on what looks to be the production Z10 device.  However, the OS may still be premature, but still sweet.  A good portion of the video is dedicated to the cool lock screen functionalities, which yes seems a bit overdone, but I couldn’t agree more (about the coolness).  We also get a nice preview of the BlackBerry Hub where all your messages across the board reside, and can be filtered by their sources (Email, Facebook, Twitter, etc).  What do you guys think of the video?

9220 9320

As we begin to see BlackBerry 10 roll out in the next several months, BlackBerry 7 still has its presence worldwide. RIM recently launched the BlackBerry Curve 9220 and 9320 in several countries, Philippines being one of them.  Here’s a quick video showing the media launch event in the region which looks to have been a blast just like any other party sponsored by RIM.  Hit the jump to watch the full clip.

We first saw the new BlackBerry Music Gateway at BlackBerry World last month.  The coolest feature included was the built-in NFC.  So anytime you’d like to pair your BlackBerry with the Music Gateway, you could simply tap it and the connection is created.  Here’s a quick video from RIM showing how the connection works and how easy it is to pair up.

It looks like a video of a BlackBerry 10 demo has leaked out, although there’s no verification if it is legitimate or not.  The UI looks pretty accurate from what we’ve seen so far.  It’s the actual options for widgets that we haven’t seen before so it that’s where the questioning begins.  If it is real, the OS looks pretty savvy from the way it works.  It looks quite easy to swipe between applications and activate widgets.  The video title is BB QNX 2.0 Preview 1, which makes you wonder if this is an older video since the OS is now known as BlackBerry 10.  Let us know what you think!

New BlackBerry commercials have taken off in the United Kingdom showing off some new devices, NFC capability and the native web browser.  We don’t see NFC come up too often since it’s a feature that’s just starting to be used.  In that commercial, we see how efficient it is to use NFC in a store when making a purchase rather than taking your credit card out to swipe at a register.  Next we see the BlackBerry Curve 9320 with its sharing capability in the Nobex Radio application.  It’s nice to see third party applications come up on BlackBerry commercials since many haters say we don’t have apps!  Last is a commercial for the BlackBerry Bold 9900 which shows off the native browser capability.
