Back at BlackBerry World 2011, we were able to check out the concept QNX car at the exhibit which was a Chevrolet Corvette (as seen in the image). I noticed that Paul from QNX posted up on the blog a new wallpaper for the BlackBerry PlayBook which is that exact QNX concept car. RIM has let us know that they now have some holiday wallpapers free for download from their mobile website. There’s four to choose from and they’re all nice! Each one contains the standard BlackBerry new notification star, as seen above. To download the wallpapers head over to mobile.blackberry.com from your BlackBerry and head over to the Holiday Wallpapers section. Enjoy!

Three New BlackBerry PlayBook Wallpapers!

Paul over at the QNX Blog posted up three new wallpapers last week for the general public to download and use. You may be bored with the current stock ones so these might be good to try out. Continue reading below to check out instructions on how to download these wallpapers.

To download the wallpapers from your PlayBook:

Go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/paulleroux
Tap on any wallpaper.
A larger image will appear. Tap Actions, then tap View all sizes.
An even larger image will appear! Tap Download the Large size of this photo.
Your PlayBook will ask you to enter a file name. Type something meaningful, such as cat_wallpaper.jpg, and tap Save.
From the PlayBook home screen, tap Pictures, then tap Downloads.
Tap the wallpaper you want, swipe from the top of the screen and tap Set as Wallpaper. You’re done!

BlackBerry Smartphone Wallpapers on your BlackBerry PlayBook – Why not?

I’m going to start this off with I love my BlackBerry Smartphone as well as my BlackBerry PlayBook regardless of what anaylst or “professionals” say about the BlackBerry Brand. Now, with that being said I always find myself looking for cool little tricks to enhance my experience on my devices. One neat trick I found was using my wallpapers or pictures on my BlackBerry smartphone on my BlackBerry PlayBook.

It is a very easy process and it sure beats having to download a zip file, and unzip it and connect your PlayBook to the computer etc. There is no computer necessary for this. Here are the steps:

Connect BlackBerry smartphone to BlackBerry PlayBook (via BlackBerry Bridge)
Once Connected open Bridge Files and you can explore your directories
To access BlackBerry smartphone wallpapers go to “device/samples/pictures”
To access your pictures go to “media card/blackberry/pictures or camera”
Open the file you want
Take a screenshot from your BlackBerry PlayBook (using the “-” & “+” keys at the top of your PlayBook)
Open up pictures on your PlayBook , select the file, and set as wallpaper

It’s that easy. Follow these simple steps, and you can make any wallpaper you want, or you can use the custom BlackBerry smartphone wallpapers that your device offers without needing an special equipment or files to download or extract. It’s also good to have a good screen capture app on your BlackBerry smartphone so you can catch images like these below, and also use them as wallpapers. Go ahead it’s 3 FREE wallpapers! Surely BlackBerry smartphone resolution isn’t as large as the PlayBook’s so if you don’t mind it not being 100% crisp, try it out. In my opinion, it looks good as seen in the screenshots.

Humorous Android Player Leak Wallpapers for BlackBerry PlayBook

Since then PlayBook owners have been having way too much fun seeing what Android apps they can install and what the emulator brings overall. RIM has put up a web based wallpaper studio via Facebook allowing you to play around and customize a background to send right to your BlackBerry. This is a special promo for V-Day, hence “Valentin’s Day Wallpaper Studio” as the title. It’s super easy to work with – just select your BlackBerry model, design your wallpaper, then download it.

All BlackBerry Torch 9800 Stock Wallpapers Available for Download

There’s not many new wallpapers here, but I came across it last night on Twitter and found that some of you Storm users or even other 480 x 360 res guys could use them. Bla1ze has posted all the stock (sample) wallpapers on his website for free download for those looking to Torch up your current BlackBerry a bit. There are a few new ones, while others you will recognize from OS 4.5

If you’re trying to download this OTA, be aware that it is a zip file and it will need to be unzipped. So I suggest downloading a free application such as BeamExplorer.
