The rumors are floating around the blogs, and we had to see what was going on to let you folks know. Just last night, we had an email tip from Quentin that he couldn’t order a BlackBerry Curve 8900 online. As Collin replied to his email to try back later, that seemed to not be the situation at all. According to Engadget, the T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8900 is being discontinued now. Furthermore, they also received confirmation from T-Mobile that the Curve 8900 has “reached the end of its life-cycle.”

People go bananas calling their carriers trying to block specific phone numbers from calling. Has it ever gotten you anywhere? No because your carrier does not take responsibility in stalkers or unwanted callers. That ends up resulting in a phone number change which can get very inconvenient. PrivacyStar does it all for you. With PrivacyStar, you’ll be able to block any unwanted callers from calling you through the call log menu or even manually typing them in. Hate blocked/private callers? You can block them too! If you’re experiencing consistent calling and it appears to be as a threat to you in any way, PrivacyStart allows you to report them to the appropriate authorities all from the application.

You can read more about PrivacyStar at their official website or at the BlackBerry App World. Today, we are giving away 5 one-year licenses of PrivacyStar absolutely FREE! To participate, you must:
This contest will be running through November 5th at midnight. Good luck to all!

Contact utilities are always useful. I’ve been using Gwabbit for quite sometime now and love it. Here’s a new one to my collection called VCard Add-on which allows you to receive, send, and import contacts via SMS as Nokia smartphones do.
SMS VCard Add-on goes for $2.99 at the PocketBerry Store. Head over there to check out more info on the app and purchasing it.

Less than a month ago we got the word that the Sirius XM application for BlackBerry was coming soon. The day came sooner than we thought as we got the tip from Jim that it is officially available today. The services are not free and do require a monthly subscription. You’ll get 120 channels with your service that you can stream anytime, all the time via BlackBerry. No, Howard Stern is not available on the application, which seems to be a downer for many folks including myself. A 7 day trial is available, where you’ll have to sign up after that period to continue using it. Head over to the Sirius XM BlackBerry App site here and have a link sent to your phone or just use the OTA link below.
Compatibility: Storm 1 & 2, Bold 9000 & 9700, Tour 96xx, Curve 85xx & 89xx

Whether you’re in the real estate game or not, you might be looking into a new home. Picking up those free magazines at the super market are nice too, but why load yourself with more tangibles when you can have an application that does all that via BlackBerry? Homes.com has released their handy dandy application that allows you to search for homes near by that are for sale or even rent.
Features:
Let’s say you find a home you like. While still browsing it within the application, you can check all property features, go through various photos of the home in a gallery style, and even contact the real estate agents via phone or email at the press of a button. This app is absolutely free to download from the BlackBerry App World.

This application is no joke. I can’t defend it or hate on it in any way. DonTalk for BlackBerry allows you to talk and meet random strangers through the application. A cool part about is that you can set it to receive messages in your own language. Simply select the country you would like to chat with, set the language, and you’re good to go. A Facebook application for this is also available which is called “DonTalk” as well. There is no sign up or registration for this so you’ll be good to go from the beginning. Please be careful if you decide to do this and don’t give out your credit card numbers, social securities, and ATM pins through this app. DonTalk is intended for strictly fun and nothing more.

We’re curious and would like to know how you check the weather on your BlackBerry. For awhile, I found myself using Weather.com to check it out, but it got very annoying when consistently checking during severe storms and things of that nature. Later i upgrade to WeatherEye which seemed nice and basic. I even tried their new beta that released but still wanted something more. At that point, I decided to go premium with BerryWeather which provides a lot of cool features and conveniently allowed me to set the weather as my BlackBerry homescreen wallpaper. How do you check your weather?

I dont ride motorcycles, but for those of you who do, this is a brilliant theme. As you can see the theme is all very customized as nothing has been brought back from the classic Precision theme besides the battery and service bar. My personal favorite part of the theme is the call screen as it displays a garage with the caller info right on it. All the icons are customized to match the whole Harley Davidson background along with its colors. This theme is compatible with the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and the BlackBerry Tour 96xx and is absolutely FREE. Special thanks to Jennifer over at Cool BlackBerry Themes for providing this theme.

One of our favorite applications BerryWeather has just went through a big update. Not too long ago, we put out the public beta that was available for you the users until this final one launched. With these changes, I’m very much satisfied with what’s been done. One huge issue I had was that BerryWeather never full closed when I would put it as my homescreen background. Well now it does. Hit the jump to check out the full change log for version 2.1.40 of BerryWeather.

Your BlackBerry isn’t a Gameboy. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy mobile gaming throughout your day in between your routined schedule. Here’s a list of three free classic games I hope you can all remember, regardless of your age.
Pacman is a hit classic game featured on the Atari platform (and many others) and later hit arcade game machines. Variations such as Ms. Pacman and Pacman 3D were later created. So here’s the classic Pacman game for BlackBerry absolutely free. Some of you have this already while the rest of the world has been totally oblivious of its availability. Click here to download free.
Tetris is an addictive strategy/puzzle game or whatever other category you consider it. I love it and have playing since I had it on my Gameboy in the early 90’s. Hopefully you’ll find the same joy in it as I have. This one is called BlockBerry, but is exactly identical to Tetris. Click here to download free.
SU Addictions is another good one I like. It basically consists of 20 variations of the hit card game Solitaire. If you’re a fan of playing cards, you’ll definitely want to check this out. Click here to download free.
