The BlackBerry Bold 9650 doesn’t seem to be featured that often in BlackBerry commercials.  What seem to be seeing the most of is the BlackBerry Torch 9800.  So here we get to see how a choirmaster uses the Bold 9650 for getting musical notes and enjoying the emailing and BBM features as well.  Hit the jump for the full clip.

Just last night a new BlackBerry Bold 9650 OS leaked, but it’s not a later version than what we’ve seen already.  This one’s 6.0.0.443, but we previously had 6.0.0.446 leaked out.  Maybe this build is safer to use with less bugs, but you all can be the judge of that.

Last we heard from the BlackBerry Bold 9650 OS was Verizon’s big debut which many were waiting for to OS version 6.0.0.431, and now we have a newer leak 6.0.0.466.  It’s still hot and fresh so there’s no telling on the ups and downs in this build, but feel free to check it out – two download mirrors below.

So it’s official! We got the word from RIM that Verizon BlackBerry Bold 9650 and BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 users will be getting BlackBerry 6 OS updates tonight at 8PM!  Some users have reported that the updates are starting to appear as wireless updates already but not everyone has it.  To continue checking for a wireless update, head over to Options, Advanced Options, then select Wireless Update.  Bold 9650 users can click here for desktop support and Curve 3G users here.  Best of luck to everyone and let us know how you like BlackBerry 6 OS!

We put up OS 6.0.0.431 for the BlackBerry Bold 9650 before, but there was some confusion as to whether or not it was a full leak or a hybrid since there was no signature.  This one is the same version, but RIM signed, so you can feel a bit more secure popping this bad boy into your Bold 9650.

It looks like another BlackBerry Bold 9650 build for BlackBerry 6 has surfaced.  This one’s version 6.0.0.431 – later than all the other versions we have seen in the past.  Gizmofusion leaked this one out earlier yesterday, but the description is a bit vague as I’m uncertain if this is a leak from RIM or a hybrid of some sort.  Bugs are still reported to be in this version, so expect that until we see a final release to launch of course.  I’m not sure how much longer the download link below will remain live, but grab a copy while it’s up.

According to this leaked screenshot that the guys over at BBLeaks received, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 and Curve 9330 are expected to get an OS update on January 19th.  There’s not telling what the OS update is yet.  We’re hoping its BlackBerry 6 OS already, especially since Sprint got it officially.  On the other hand, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was just another 5.0 build.  We’ll just have to wait and see what surfaces in two weeks of this.

Also, as you can see in the image above, the Curve 8330 is expected to get an update as well.  This certainly isn’t BlackBerry 6, and is definitely a 5.0 update.  The date for that still hasn’t been announced for that, but it will be sometime this month.

I was really expecting Verizon to launch out BlackBerry 6 first before Sprint with all the promotion they’ve been doing and user upgrade guides that hit the retail stores.  I guess I was wrong.  Sprint has gone ahead and officially launched OS 6.0.0.415 officially for the BlackBerry Bold 9650.  Last night I saw there was a wireless update available, but the desktop link wasn’t available just yet.  So here it is for those who want to manually install it on their Bolds whether it be for Verizon or Sprint.

Just last week, MTS launched the BlackBerry Style 9670, and it looks like the device has entered as a holiday promotion item already.  As the price was only 100 bucks to begin with, MTS is putting it out for free from now until the end of the month.  Also, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 is running at $29.99 and the Storm 2 at $99.99.  This is a bit funny to see the older devices holding their prices higher than the hot and fresh Style which just launched for the carrier.
