Originally Angry Birds Space for the BlackBerry PlayBook showed up in App World a few weeks back then was pulled out for unknown reasons.  The game’s presence has been available in BlackBerry App World as of this morning for several hours now (hoping it does not get pulled again).  So for those who didn’t catch the quick availability before, you can grab it now.  It’s $2.99 to purchase in App World.

Angry Birds Space for BlackBerry PlayBook showed up overnight but it appears that RIM has removed it from BlackBerry App World.  There’s no telling why this happened, but it did.  At least we know the game is out there for the PlayBook and hasn’t been left behind.  Angry Birds Space goes for $4.99 just like the other versions of Angry Birds.  I guess it’s a matter of time until we get to see it up again.  Let us know if you see it come back and check back at App World for the game.

Thanks Bogizo for sending this in!

What happens when you mix Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja together?  Well you come up with SnowBomber of course. SnowBomber is an action packed game, where you are equipped with a slingshot, and you have to destroy evil snowman and save the world from a never ending winter.

SnowBomber is a great game for the BlackBerry PlayBook, and it’s very addicting to. The whole point is to destroy the Evil Fluffs using your slingshot to catapult snowballs, rocks, bombs, and ice cubes (Angry Bird concept); meanwhile, swiping or ducking the snowballs, bombs, and rocks that the Evil Fluffs are heaving at you (Fruit Ninja concept).  If you gt hit to many times, the game is over, and the Evil Fluffs have prevailed.

Snowbomber comes in two versions the FREE version which stops game play at 5,000 points; and the paid FULL version $1.99 where gameplay doesn’t end. So try it out, and I guarantee you will find yourself downloading the full game. Head below to grab both versions of SnowBomber for your BlackBerry PlayBook.

Angry Pigs is another Angry Birds style game for BlackBerry smartphones.  The premium version has been out for a little while now, but now a free edition is available.  Not sure what the free is lacking over the premium version but it might be less levels or ad support.  You can check them both out at BlackBerry App World.

Some of you BlackBerry users may play Angry Birds on another device you have which can be a tablet, iPhone or Android.  Others may be just fiending for it to launch on BlackBerry smartphones (or the PlayBook even).  Here’s a theme dedicated to the famous Angry Birds theme which has evolved into a culture that includes a series of games, clothing, and more.  Devices supported are the BlackBerry Bold 9700/9780, Torch 9800, Curve 9300/9330/8520/8530.  Click the links below to check them out.

During BlackBerry World 2011, we were promised by the one and only Mike Lazaridis that Angry Birds was headed to the BlackBerry PlayBook, and here we are still empty handed.  At DevCon we got to see many different games get ported over to the BlackBerry PlayBook including Cut The Rope, and many other famous titles on other OS platforms.

With that said, we should be getting Angry Birds now along with all these great game titles.  There’s no telling what the delay is, whether it’s from RIM, or Rovio simply stalling because they want out of the BlackBerry platform completely.  Is anyone else itching for a fix or are you over it?

We’ve seen the Angry Birds alternatives for BlackBerry smartphones already, but we haven’t really seen anything for the BlackBerry PlayBook – until now!  Introducing Angry Apes, the Angry Birds knock off now available for the PlayBook.  In Angry Apes, you play as the big monkey where you fire a canon at birds to get your bananas back.  Each level provides a new obstacle with enhanced difficulty to make it harder each time.

Angry Farm for BlackBerry has updated to version 1.1.26 earlier today.  The update includes 80 new levels making it amount to 200 levels in total.  Also, the OS 7 devices are now supported which includes the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930, Torch 9810, and Torch 9850/9860.  I’m curious to see how smooth the game runs on OS 7 devices since it was quite sluggish on “yesterday’s” BlackBerry smartphones.  Anyone who has a OS 7 device, let us know it runs for you.

Angry Farm was the first knockoff of Angry Birds for BlackBerry, and it did well for a while but still wasn’t the same as Angry Birds that we see on other platforms such as iOS and Android.  So XIMAD let us know about a game they recently developed and officially launched called Pandas vs Ninjas.  You guessed right! It’s another Angry Birds alternative for BlackBerry, some may agree it looks better than Angry Farm.  XIMAD called Pandas vs Ninjas the “best Angry Birds alternative for BlackBerry.”  You make your own judgements on that, but it is overall an enjoyable game given the limited hardware BlackBerry has currently.
