If you’re on Verizon, you may have noticed a message saying your region isn’t supported when installing BBM Music. The change log reads: ” ‘Region not supported’ errors fixed for certain Verizon customers.” Uh oh, did that say certain only? I’m hoping the fix goes across the board. I deleted BBM Music on my Bold 9930 and reinstalled it to see if the message popped up again, but luckily it didn’t. Update is available in BlackBerry App World.

Premium services aren’t for everyone, and even if they are it’s not necessarily always worth it. BBM Music was a really fun beta application to test out for the last few months now. The free fun is about to come to an end as RIM has rolled out its pricing plan to be $4.99 per month to use.
For me, I’ll end up keeping it as I have come to rely on it a lot for my music and have set different playlists on it which consists of my music along with other people’s music which might be my direct BBM contact or just added through the application.
That’s only my side and I’m sure many of you have your own opinions. Will you be keeping BBM Music services after the trial expires? Let us know in the comments and tweet us!

Along with the official release of BBM Music in the United States, Canada and Australia, RIM put out a pretty cool tutorial video on the new music service showing how to access music and to share it with friends. BBM Music differentiates itself from other music services with the ability to share playlists and to stream other friends’ music from your BlackBerry and even pull some of their tunes to add on your own playlists.

I saw this pop up for me the other day, and thought it was just a bug until now. It looks like the folks at BBOS also noticed that BBM Music Beta had a “upgrade to premium account” window pop up on them as well. Here’s how to work around it.
Dismiss the pop ups for it by hitting the back button, then close the app completely. Reload BBM Music, have your songs refresh and you’ll be good to go. To check when your expiration date is, you can go to Options and see when the date is ending.

Yeah I know BBM Music isn’t available to the public just yet, but there are plenty of beta testers out there. So this tip goes for now and later of the option remains there. In BBM Music, it streams music off the cloud and you choose the songs you want in your top 50 list and can play all your BBM friends’ 50 songs as well. Get it?
Now to the point – if you’d like a more “flawless” experience with minimal leg when playing music, cache it! Simply when browsing through your BBM list, hit the menu button and you’ll see an option called “Cache My Songs.” This will cache your music to your memory card. With that said, you’ll have faster stream for your music with very little lag.
Thanks Luis from BerryReview for the tip!
