So the other day, we got the word that Bell had the delayed launch of the BlackBerry Style 9670 set to December 9th. Well today’s that day as Bell officially launched the Style and has it up on their site. Here’s a recap on the pricing:
- No contract: $399.95
- 1-year: $374.95
- 2-year: $349.95
- 3-year at $49.95
So the best deal I’m seeing here is that 3-year plan, as the device just gets so cheap. But any way, the choice is yours if this is the device you’re going for. The BlackBerry Style 9670 is RIM’s second flip phone style BlackBerry to launch, but the first of its kind to have a full QWERTY keyboard. It comes with a 5MP camera, 512MB of memory, 8GB micro SD card, and rocks BlackBerry 6 OS right out of the box.

The very fashionable CDMA BlackBerry Style 9670 is expected to hit the streets with Bell on December 9th. As many of you remember, we should have seen this device roll out last month, but it did get delayed as we’ve seen the Canadian carrier postpone various devices in the past.
Either way, no time to complain – December 9th is the set date. Pricing goes as follows:
- No contract: $399.95
- 1-year: $374.95
- 2-year: $349.95
- 3-year at $49.95
As a quick recap, the BlackBerry Style is one of RIM’s latest BlackBerry smartphones in flip phone style as we’ve seen in the past with the Pearl Flip 8200 series. The Style gives you a full QWERTY keyboard, trackpad, 5MP camera, 512MB of memory, and BlackBerry 6 OS right out of the box.

According to a tip received over at BerryReview, Bell Canada is expected to launch the BlackBerry Style 9670 later on today. The launch date was originally supposed to be November 23rd, but then get delayed. The pricing of the device is $49.95 on a 3-year strings attached contract or $399.95 for 30 day no contract.
That’s all there is from over the border so far. Let’s see how the BlackBerry Style 9670 goes for other carriers. I have seen a few walking around with Sprint branded Styles but don’t think the device is really getting as much buzz at the moment. Perhaps Bell will do well with it. Who’s on Bell now and waiting for the Style?

We spotted the red BlackBerry Torch 9800 first from AT&T in a leaked image showing off what’s to come for the holiday season. In a short period of time after that, AT&T rolled it out the Torch out in both red and white colors. Then we saw Canadian carriers such as Rogers getting the Torch in other colors too. Now we have confirmation that Bell and Virgin Mobile both have the BlackBerry Torch 9800 in red. With no strings attached, you can have the red Blackberry Torch for $599.95, where on a 3-year you’ll dish out $179.95

Both the BlackBerry Style 9670 and red BlackBerry Torch 9800 are expected to head over to Bell Canada on November 23rd officially, but shipping to stores on the 15th. Just like the Sprint version, the Style rocks a 8GB micro SD card included. in the device. The red BlackBerry Torch 9800 will be priced at $179.99 with a 3 year contract while the BlackBerry Style 9670 only has a confirmed retail price of $399.99. It’s nice to see a carrier get two of the latest BlackBerry devices on the market. Unfortunately everywhere else you would get one or the other with the GSM and CDMA restricted carriers.

There’s no rescheduled launch date or why exactly the BlackBerry Bold 9780 has been delayed for Bell Canada. According to some info received over at BerryReview, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 has been delayed for Bell specifically but we don’t know what’s to come of other carriers yet too.
It is possible to see issues in the OS builds or maybe the device itself has some defects. We don’t know yet, but we’re hoping this is only carrier specific and not across the board for the rest of the world.

According to a hat tip over at BerryReview, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 is going to be launching on November 2nd at Bell Mobility in Canada. Devices are expected to roll out to retail stores around the 25th of this month. We all know the general specifics of the BlackBerry Bold 9780 as it is just an updated version of the 9700 which doubles up in memory and has a better camera. Hopefully once it launches we’ll b able to see BlackBerry 6 roll out for the previous 9700. In any case, if you were wondering what comes in the box, here it is:
- BlackBerry® Bold™ 9780 (black or white)
- Micro USB cable (black or white)
- Charger (black or white)
- Stereo headset (3.5mm) (black or white)
- Battery
- Synthetic holster (black or white)
- 2GB microSD card
- Start Here guide
- BlackBerry® User Tools CD
- Safety Information booklet
- SIM card
Sound pretty basic, and nothing out of the ordinary. RIM does need to start including bigger memory cards with their devices though. I say it should all be 8, 16, or 32GB memory cards. Back the the device, November looks like a really promising month for several carriers to be rolling out the BlackBerry Bold 9780. Let’s hope AT&T or T-Mobile picks this one up quick.

So Canadians aren’t completely left out here, but I don’t see this being any better than the delayed launches all around the country. The Bell BlackBerry Torch 9800 is officially available for online purchases only. September 30th they’ll be available in stores and the device doesn’t ship til the 29th, so is it even worth it? In any case here are the pricing plans:
- $179.95 on a 3-year
- $449.95 on a 2-year
- $549.95 on a 1-year
- $599.95 on no contract
So the price does jump pretty high up after the 3-year contract – nothing new coming from Bell here.

We were hearing all sorts of buzz about a Canadian delay over the last few days and it looks like they’re true so far, partially. It looks like Bell has put up an October 1st launch date now, rather than the speculated and originally confirmed September 24th that we all expected. It could of been worse – who remembers the BlackBerry Bold 9000 launching in the United States? Pricing for the BlackBerry Torch 9800 is $199.95 on a 3 year strings attached contract while it’s $599.95 with no contract at all.

If you’re in Canada and looking to score a BlackBerry Torch 9800 from Telus, Bell, Rogers, or Virgin Mobile, you can preorder it at any Best Buy in Canada as they have announced it on their website today. The price across the board is $199.99 on 3 year contracts, but there is no official words on it just yet. It’s going to be a big launch date as the BlackBerry Torch is RIM’s latest, greatest, and unique smartphone and it’s coming out with four different carriers all on the same day. It seems to be smart to preorder in that case with the big rush we’re expecting. So AT&T sells 150,000 units opening weekend – how many should we expect over four carriers all at once? You can’t preorder your Torch online so you’ll have to make an appearance and do it in person.
