We’re curious and would like to know how you check the weather on your BlackBerry. For awhile, I found myself using Weather.com to check it out, but it got very annoying when consistently checking during severe storms and things of that nature. Later i upgrade to WeatherEye which seemed nice and basic. I even tried their new beta that released but still wanted something more. At that point, I decided to go premium with BerryWeather which provides a lot of cool features and conveniently allowed me to set the weather as my BlackBerry homescreen wallpaper. How do you check your weather?

One of our favorite applications BerryWeather has just went through a big update. Not too long ago, we put out the public beta that was available for you the users until this final one launched. With these changes, I’m very much satisfied with what’s been done. One huge issue I had was that BerryWeather never full closed when I would put it as my homescreen background. Well now it does. Not too long ago, BerryWeather launched its 2.0 version which provided a bunch of new features with lots of bells and whistles. A few days ago, we were even introduced to BeWeather which is a freebie weather app based off of BerryWeather. Jill let us know that the folks over at Bellshare are looking for you folks, the Berry users to test out the latest 2.1 public beta version as they have posted on their forum. You’ll be able to download it free but will have to validate your license or else it’s a 3 day trial.

BerryWeather is one of the most popular best selling weather applications available for BlackBerry. Recently they updated to version 2.0, adding a lot of new features. They have just released BeWeather Free to the BlackBerry App World as a freebie version of BerryWeather and/or BeWeather. The application is completely ad-free with some nice options as well.
