Here’s an awesome video I spotted over at the BlackBerry YouTube channel showing highlights from the BlackBerry Torch Red Carpet Launch party featuring celebrities from all over including 90210, Twilight Saga, Entourage, and more.  Drake even makes an appearance and once again preaches on the fact that he uses his BlackBerry every single day to write music.  So now I’m guessing celebrities will be leaving their Bold 9700 devices for the Torch 9800, or perhaps the smaller QWERTY device is preferred?  Either way this video is entertaining to watch so enjoy it!

So the BBM Lounge party in California just came around with a great turn around and we got some photos and press kits sent to us about the night.  One thing we wanted to share with you was the luxury of ordering drinks at the party.  The image above is shrunken down a bit but you could BBM “bubbles” to receive a glass of champagne for instance.  Pretty cool right? There was BBM barcodes all over the party.  Each one gave you something different including talking to famous celebrities, entering contests, and more.

This was a funny picture I thought you guys would get a kick out of.  Lady Gaga was obviously just fixing her bathing suit but ended showing a little too much on camera.  In her right hand is a BlackBerry, not sure the exact model but it does look like a Bold 9700 to me.

I was reading some soccer league news earlier this morning and came across one that involved some BlackBerry action.  I was all over it of course.  The article is a bit unclear as to where he was dissing out England and its people, but it looks like the message was via BBM as they say “he posted it as a status message.”  Basically Chelsea star Ashley Cole wrote “I hate England and the f***ing people!” This got out and about to lots of prosperous England fans, and Cole was then and there frowned upon.  After all is said and done, Cole insists that he is totally dedicated to England but then says “I always try my hardest for England and Chelsea but the intrusion and pressure I feel is making my life hell.”  Moral of the story? If you’re hating, don’t post it as a BBM status message, it’ll loop around in circles and then slap you in the face.

The one word I think of when seeing this photo is “tacky.” Not to get very opinionated by Snookie is hated by many for being a failure on the television reality show Jersey Shore as well as being a huge embarrassment to New Jersey residents.  In this picture here, we see Snookie in her artificial tan with a very loud outfit and a BlackBerry wrapped in an ugly case.  I came across this on Celebrity BlackBerry Sightings and felt the need to throw this one in to let you all know Snookie is a BlackBerry user, probably using Push to Talk as seen in the pic.

This was something funny spotted on MTV and Mauricio posted about it earlier today.  The new famous rapper Drake had a feature on MTV and in this clip you’ll see how important it is for him to write his tracks up on his BlackBerry.  He pretty much says he can’t do pen and paper, and that his thumbs were made for the BlackBerry.  I can’t really tell which one he’s using, but it looks to be a Bold 9700.  I assume that because it is a popular BlackBerry for everyone, but celebs just love it too.  It looks like one as well, but with the dark light it’s hard to tell.  I’ll be surprised if he’s working a 8500 series.

Before everyone gets confused, the “MySpace style photo” in my opinion is when you turn over your camera and take a picture of yourself (with others too as we see here).  I’m not hating on the idea, but the shot does the need a name and I think it suits it best.  What I am hating is the cheapo skin on his BlackBerry Bold 9000.  I’m not exactly sure how old the photo is and am hoping Fred Durst has went ahead and upgraded his phone by now, as he should be eligible.  So in this picture we see Fred Durst, Snoop Dogg, and some guy I don’t even know snapping a picture together at an event with lots of people around which brings me to question why Fred didn’t bother asking someone to take the photo..?

As we discussed this a few months ago, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 became one of the most popular handheld devices among celebrities.  Sure many other users in different industries (or none at all) are holding the 9700, but celebs do love it and that’s not exaggerating!  So we cam across this image of Stephanie Pratt over at Celebrity BlackBerry Sightings where she’s seen hold a BlackBerry Curve 8530 in purple.  We all know everything about the Curve 8500 series and are well aware that it is a basic device.  Not to be hating on anyone carrying it, but this is the first time I’ve seen a celebrity rock a basic Berry.  Perhaps she’s not taking pictures at night which calls for no need of a camera flash and loves the color purple.  Someone should let her know about Colorware.

Kim Kardashian, one of our favorite BlackBerry users yet just got some additions on her BlackBerry Bold 9700.  She must of been jealous of her sister Khloe who recently made the switch. Last time we saw, she had a Curve 8900 where she took pictures of herself half naked to some lucky guy.  Not so lucky, as the picture publicized all over the interwebs.  From the look of it, this could be some Colorware added to it.  I say this because, not only has the chrome bezel been replaced with a gold one, but the BlackBerry emblem also is gold.  We don’t know what the front face looks like as we only see the back portion here.  On the other hand, maybe Kim ordered some parts from CNN.cn or TrueSupplier and did the operation herself.  Yeah right.

So the latest rumor from the wire is that the BlackBerry Storm 9530 is getting discontinued from Verizon Wireless.  The original Storm 9530 released in late 2008, having a very sloppy release with customer complaints left and right on the operating system.  Overtime, OS updates released, and in my opinion OS 5.0 came too late, when it should of sooner to keep its customers on it.  The main question is, who will be sticking around with the Storm 9530 any more after Verizon stops its production and retail?  I know Chris Brown is holding a Storm, as seen above in the image.
