Yesterday a price card for the BlackBerry Torch 2 9810 was spotted for Rogers. The card shows some general specifics on the Torch 2 including screen size, battery life, processor speed, and OS version. The Torch 9810 seems to be hitting the same carriers the 9800 first round. Although there are rumors of it hitting T-Mobile but other than that Rogers is getting it as confirmed here, and hopefully AT&T which is notoriously known for announcing devices super late.

It’s quite obvious by now that the BlackBerry Torch 2 9810 carries more power than the original BlackBerry Torch 9800. Even so, it’s always nice to see a head to head overview of the two next to each other, seeing the significant enhancements in play. Last we heard of the Torch 2 was that it passed FCC and apps displayed in the Apps folder hinting that it’s headed to AT&T. Full video after the jump!

Something you couldn’t do with the BlackBerry Torch 9800 is play videos in portrait mode. The Torch is a great all around device allowing you to use it in portrait, landscape, onscreen keyboard, and physical QWERTY keyboard. But playing videos just seemed annoying to always have to play in landscape mode. With the last leaked BlackBerry Torch 9810 video, we see video play in portrait which may not mean much for some, but I think is a great addition. I’m assuming you’ll be able to customize this feature how you want it through an option, or rotate it while it’s in play even.

The BlackBerry Torch family also gets the same OS leak fix as the Bold 9900/9930. This one goes out to the BlackBerry Torch 9850 and 9860, leaving the 9810 behind. It’s also Os 7.0.0.261 and we assume there will also be some apps to pull out of this one too for current Torch users.

As we approach more BlackBerry devices to officially launch, we’ll see FCC approvals come out. Here we have the BlackBerry Torch 9810 get FCC approval at last, still with no official announcement from RIM on it. At least with the Bold 9900 and PlayBook we saw them both announced then later FCC approvals. The remainder of BlackBerry devices set to launch are pretty much left in the dark for now, as it seems appropriate for RIM to at least announce them.

We’ve seen the BlackBerry Torch 9810 live in video already, but lately the 9860 has been getting a lot of camera spotlight. So here it is again as a refresh for those who missed other leaks. Just like the others clips we’ve seen, we get a glimpse of the exterior of the Torch 9810 along with some software highlights. The key here is that the device runs a lot smoother than the other Torch and gets “liquid graphics” as the Bold 9900 and Torch 9860 have.
Carrier News, Rumors »

It’s been great seeing the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and other devices get confirmed by all sorts of carriers across the world. The only issue we’re facing now is US carriers. All we’ve really got now is a solid for T-Mobile on the Bold 9900 but AT&T remains silent. NerdBerry put out a rumor about some launch dates for the BlackBerry Torch 9810 in the US. It looks like it may be headed to both T-Mobile and AT&T. AT&T seems to be launching the Torch 9810 in September, while T-Mobile is expected to get it in November. Not a huge deal for T-Mobile customers, as they are pretty much getting first dibs on the Bold 9900, which seems to be the biggest hype at the moment any way.

It’s been really quiet with AT&T for quite a while. The last we heard from the carrier (as far as devices go) is that the Bold 9700 has been discontinued, which really narrowed down all BlackBerry sales to the almight Torch 9800 or the standard Curve 9300. Android Central got a snippet of what appears to be a leaked document which includes a “BB Torch 4G.” To our knowledge, that is indeed the BlackBerry Torch 2 9810, and is coming in 4G flavor.
The launch date appears to be set for August, but with the BlackBerry Bold 9900 being delayed, we really don’t know what to make of this just yet.
