tmobile torch 9810

Why spend $249.99 on the new T-Mobile BlackBerry Torch 9810 when you can save $100 instantly? The PocketBerry Phone Store has the BlackBerry Torch 9810 from T-Mobile for only $149.99.  This price is reflected on a two year contract of course.  Whether you’re upgrading your current T-Mobile device or grabbing a new line, the $149.99 rate remains.  Click the link below to check out the deal at the PocketBerry Phone Store.

AT&T is definitely throwing people off here.  The all new BlackBerry Torch 9810 is referred to as the “BlackBerry Torch 4G” at AT&T, but shows H+ on the screen which stands for HSPA+.  The AT&T BlackBerry Bold 9900 is also claimed to be “4G,” but is still titled the “BlackBerry Bold 9900” on the box rather than “BlackBerry Bold 4G.”  On the screen it shows 4G as the connection and not H+.  Confusing for some, but based on what AT&T told me which could be total BS, the Bold 9900 is 4G capable with AT&T’s real 4G bump up from HSPA+.

OS 7.0.0.440 is available for three devices from AT&T- the BlackBerry Torch 9810, Torch 9860, and Bold 9900.  I’ve tried the Torch 9810 9860 OS so far, and it’s a lot more stable than what we’ve seen out of the box and I have definitely seen battery life increases here as well.  Click the link below to grab a copy for any of the three.

UPDATE: Oops. We screwed up.  Tip we received stated Torch 9810 was one of the ones updated but we’re to blame for not validating. Sorry folks!

torch 1 and 2 pricing

There’s no reason the BlackBerry Torch 9800 and BlackBerry Torch 9810 are both available at AT&T for $49.99.  The original 9800 went on sale for $199.99 when it first launched, then the 9810 received a $49.99 price tag from day one.  Of course over time the 9800 dropped in price as it aged.. all the way until it reached $49.99.  Once the new Torch came to town, the 9800 should of dropped in price!  But as you can see, both devices carry the same price tag which could call for lots of confusion when shopping for your next or even first BlackBerry smartphone.  Let’s just hope these AT&T store reps are smart enough to distinguish the two for customers.

Another T-Mobile BlackBerry disappointment has surfaced.  First we had the BlackBerry Bold 9900 which shipped out lacking UMA features.  We’re told the UMA feature will be coming later on in an OS update.  Now the BlackBerry Torch 9810 is about to launch for T-Mobile.  It looks like this device won’t be getting UMA out of the box either according to a T-Mobile tweet spotted by N4BB.  One of the greatest features for T-Mobile is UMA, and it’s a shame seeing it vacant from newer BlackBerry device.  Does this drive you away from getting it?

You have to admit that white BlackBerry devices just look way hotter.  Everytime a new BlackBerry launches, we’re always waiting to see when the white version comes out.  Phones 4 U is offering the BlackBerry Bold 9900, Torch 9810, and Curve 9360 in white color for pre-order now.  The Torch 9810 we’ve seen in white as AT&T offers the flavor already from launch day.  As for the Bold 9900, we’re only starting to see the device come in white along with the Curve 9360.

It’s real and it’s happening! For a few weeks now we’ve been teased that a Blackberry Torch 9810 would be headed over to T-Mobile.  We still don’t know when, but with all the leaks we’ve been getting, it has to be soon!  We got a few photos of a T-Mobile BlackBerry Torch 9810 arriving at a corporate store for display.  There are no actual live units yet but it’s pretty exciting to see it on another carrier other than AT&T.  As you guessed, it will run on T-Mobile’s 4G network and will support UMA.  Sweet! More photos after the jump.

The BlackBerry Torch 9810 was rumored to launch for T-Mobile which baffled us since we were under the assumption that AT&T had the device exclusively for a year.  This is the second time we see a the Torch 9810 surface in a T-Mobile system, which can only mean that it is indeed headed to the carrier.  Sadly there’s still no launch dates specified but we know it’s coming at least.
