As expected and as most of you already knew, most of the BlackBerry hype nowadays circles around the all new BlackBerry Bold 9900 series. It’s no secret that BlackBerry users love a real full QWERTY keyboard to use, and a large one at that. Touchscreen has grown on many of us as well as we see it evolve in other smartphones and even BlackBerry devices including the Storm and Torch 9800. Therefore, the Bold 9900 series gets both touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard without needing to slide it up and down.

Finally some new US BlackBerry news! Everything lately has been around Canada as they had first dibs on devices starting with the Bold 9900. According to these memos leaked out, Sprint is expected to get the BlackBerry Bold 9930 and BlackBerry Torch 9850 on August 21st. The last we heard was that Sprint would be carrying the new BlackBerry devices in fall, so this does come off a bit confusing. Any way, here’s the pricing for both:
- BlackBerry Torch 9850 – $449.99 outright, $149.99 with 2 year contract
- BlackBerry Bold 9930 - $499.99 outright, $249.99 with a 2 year contract
So the Bold is a bit more than the Torch. Keep in mind the Bold does get NFC capability which the Torch is currently lacking. If you need the best of both worlds (touchscreen and real QWERTY keyboard), then the Bold is for you. Torch is targeted more towards full touchscreen lovers in best hopes to draw attention away from Android and iOS devices.

We’ve put up polls and surveys like this in the past, but I feel like now is a good time to see how Berry users feel about what’s currently out there. RIM officially announced the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 (was previously announced at BBWC 2011 actually), Torch 9850/9860, and Torch 9810. Since then we’ve been seeing endless photos and hands on video clips with the devices. Based on what you’ve seen so far, which device is best suited for you and why?
