I’m not sure if you guys have noticed how much I love my BlackBerry PlayBook but if you didn’t know – I love it! It of course has two cameras, one front facing, and the other on the backside.  Downside for some is that there is no flash on next to the backside camera which tends to not encourage to record when scenery ahead is a bit dark. While at BlackBerry World Conference, the Goo Goo Dolls performed and I recorded “Slide”. Check it out in the clip above.

What I love about the HD video camera is that unlike other mobile devices the PlayBook records very crisp video, and records sound very well.  Do you take advantage of the cameras on your PlayBook?

BlackBerry World 2011 was full of many surprises and great times interacting with all sorts of BlackBerry users from around the world.  RIM put out a video showing highlights from the event.  Some memorable moments included when RIM co-CEO Mike Lazaridis announced on stage that we would all be getting free 16GB BlackBerry PlayBook tablets – always nice to hear.  I think they should of added in the clip that Angry Birds is coming to the PlayBook as well since it is breaking news for some game hungry BlackBerry users.

An awesome demonstration we got to see at BlackBerry World was the BBM Social Platform.  RIM demonstrated its power by showing us how it worked through Foursquare at the live keynote, and it was pretty impressive.  When you check in to a venue, it gives a pop up notification asking for your permission to update your BBM status where you click “ok” or “cancel.”  Check out the video to see how it works.

While visiting Case-Mate at BlackBerry World Solutions Showcase, I got a chance to check out two of their cases that they released for the BlackBerry PlayBook. One of the cases is the Pop Series which is a great case if you’re looking to for some hefty tablet protection. It sports a co-molding of shock resistant plastics, and gel skin, and also sports a kickstand for watching video, using a picture frame, or as a clock. It comes in a few different color combinations such as black/grey, white/grey, and pink/grey.  You can pick up this case from Case-Mate for $39.99

VEVO has grown popular among iOS and Android devices, giving you access to over 25,000 different music videos.  For me, VEVO always came in handy when mobile YouTube music videos were blocked.  Once I accessed VEVO, I would find it available there.  Aside from that, the media player experience is just incredible and works seamlessly as seen in the video above.  The application will be hitting BlackBerry App World some time this summer.

We were all waiting to see if RIM would come out on Android application support for the BlackBerry PlayBook here at BlackBerry World, and surely they did.  In the video above we see a quick demonstration of the Android Player and how well Android apps work on the BlackBerry PlayBook, and how easy it is to download Android applications.

It looks like all Android applications will be on the same as other apps, BlackBerry App World.  It’s not even in another section or anything.  Also, Android applications get icons just like regular BlackBerry applications so they won’t stand out or anything.
