This application was quite interesting and we found it to be quite useful for the socializing BlackBerry user.  The Buzzd app allows you to see what exactly is going on around you including music concerts, events, bars, and restaurants.  All of these come to you from a mix of content from trusted sources and real time reviews from the Buzzd network.  Also, the app is the first in the BlackBerry App World to use Cell ID, which is many times faster than a GPS receiver as it works indoors really well inside clubs and places where you would likely want to use it.
Buzzd was among the first group of the three initial investments from the BlackBerry Partners Fund last October, and the new BlackBerry app is a direct result of that funding.
Why this app is unique:
  • buzzd aggregates listings from over 20 content partners like Citysearch, Last.fm, TimeOut, MetroMix and Flavorpill. No one else does this, not even on the Web, let alone a BlackBerry app.
  • In addition to great content, the app has a slick UI and Twitter integration, so your real time reviews can be broadcast to your Twitter stream.
  • buzzd is the first app in the AppWorld that uses CellID, superior to GPS is many ways for the enduser.
  • As an app funded by the BlackBerry Partners Fund, buzzd is poised to become the leading local activity finder in the new BlackBerry App World.
  • buzzd offers its unique mix of content for free, while other apps like Zagat’s have only one source of content, and cost $20 or more sometimes!

To get Buzzd on local events around you, head over to the BlackBerry App World today and download it there!
