Not sure if many of you care one this one, but famous news editor Piers Morgan made an appearance this year at CES 2011 at the BlackBerry booth.  In this clip we see a brief intro of the gentleman with his small pieces of advice for the community out there.  He doesn’t give us much on the PlayBook other than the fact that he likes it and it’s small enough to fit in a pocket.  That’s pretty much it.  I preferred Common’s BlackBerry freestyling video though :)

CES 2011 has been well over now, but RIM has posted some clips from the event at the BlackBerry booth.  In these videos you’ll see quick summaries of Adrian Grenier from Entourage, Common, and Olivia Wilde from Tronat the BlackBerry booth.  You’ve seen the Common freestyling about BlackBerry clip already, but you get to see that again along with the brief discussion before that.  Hit the jump to view all videos.

At CES 2011, QNX showed an awesome demonstration of how the BlackBerry PlayBook can act as a controller for the car.  In this video, we see the PlayBook performing tasks such as temperature changing and other vehicle settings.  This is all concept, but I think it’s pretty damn cool.  The sky’s the limit on this one.  Perhaps Viper will hop on the wagon with something like this with their SmartStart remote starter.

Pretty cool.  It looks like famous rap artist and actor Common breaks down a freestyle during CES 2011 at the BlackBerry booth making mentions of the BlackBerry PlayBook and BlackBerry Torch 9800.  I haven’t seen any paparazzi shots of him using a BlackBerry.  I wonder which Berry Common has if he does use one..?

So CES 2011 has officially wrapped up, and we’ve been really overwhelmed with all the BlackBerry PlayBook buzz going on there.  RIM had displayed a large showcase this year and the PlayBook was obviously their big deal or main course rather.  In this video I spotted at the BlackBerry Youtube channel, you’ll see attendees speak about the PlayBook giving you their testomonials on it.

So Skype is obviously coming out for the BlackBerry PlayBook.  During CES 2011, there was a screenshot during one of RIM’s presentations showing BlackBerry App World on the PlayBook really quickly.  What I didn’t pay much attention to, but Ronen from BerryReview pointed out, is that Skype is listed as one of the applications.

I’m really impressed from what I’ve seen of this year’s BlackBerry booth at CES.  Cosmetically, RIM has put together a fantastic booth that’s actually quite big as you’ll see.  In this clip, you’ll see some social media guys from RIM walk you through the whole BlackBerry booth so you can see what it’s all about with BlackBerry at CES.  The main theme here is “PlayBook,” obviously since that’s what is the latest and greatest from RIM.

The last time Mike Lazaridis (CEO of RIM) commented on BlackBerry smartphones getting QNX, it seemed like he was avoiding the question a bit and tried focusing more attention to the PlayBook instead.  The folks over at PCMag were able to interview Mr. Lazaridis at CES 2011 where he spoke a bit more open about BlackBerry handhelds getting QNX along with a hardware upgrade at last.
