tmo valentines day sale

An awesome sale is headed to T-Mobile!  TmoNews grabbed a screenshot showing that T-Mobile has a special offer coming on February 11th where new and current customers can get some popular smartphones free.  While browsing through the devices pictured, I noticed the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and BlackBerry Curve 9360 are both listed.  So if you were looking for that upgrade soon, it might be worth waiting until February 11th, the Bold 9900 obviously being the better choice.

T-Mobile stores are beginning to get BlackBerry Curve 9360 dummy units in today.  With still no official announcement from the company, we find a bit strange for it to occur.  Usually we get an official announcement from the carrier and later on right before launch we see dummy units come up.  I’m hoping this one’s not a soft release since the Curve 9360 is definitely the best bang for your buck when it comes to BlackBerry including OS 7, 3G, WiFi, 480 x 360 resolution (rather than 320 x 240), and rocks NFC!  Only other device that does is the Bold 9900/9930.  Any way, here’s some pictures of the device our tipster sent out in all its angles.  It’s a pretty slim phone isn’t it?

Thanks Bogizo for the tip!

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 now follows the same latest OS as the Bold 9900 with 7.0.0.353.  It seems to be a pretty stable build so far, definitely far better than what comes out the box.  You can grab it officially from Digicel using the link below.

telus-pink-white-curve-9380

With the BlackBerry Curve 9360 just officially out as of last week, there’s already plans for it in different colors.  According to MobileSyrup who received this image, the Curve 9360 is coming in white and pink.  As always, BlackBerrys continue looking fresh in white, and pink obviously targeted more towards a female audience.  Which color is for you or do you prefer black?

Now Three UK has joined in on the teasing with the new BlackBerry Curve 9360.  My mouth isn’t watering for this device either, but I’m sure there’s a community out there who wants the device, especially if it has NFC and goes for a low premium.  So here we see a quick tour of the BlackBerry CUrve 9360 once again.  Nothing new or spectacular in this video versus the others but at least we know Three UK will be picking the device up soon!  You can read more on the device on the Three UK Blog.

RIM has finally come out with the new Curve series we’ve been waiting to see unveiled for a few months now.  Today we see the BlackBerry Curve 9350, 9360, and 9370 all get announced.  It’s been a while since we saw a Curve with actual nice features launch.  After the 8300 series, the Curve kind of took a dump with way too basic specs and stayed consistent through a couple generations with little upgrades added to them.  The all new BlackBerry Curve devices supports OS 7, with full QWERTY keyboard (same Curve style) but no touchscreen.  Here’s the full press release below:

RIM Introduces New BlackBerry Curve Smartphones

Sleek, fast and easy-to-use smartphones feature next-generation BlackBerry 7 OS and deliver smooth social experiences wherever you go

Waterloo, ON – Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today announced three new BlackBerry® smartphones featuring the BlackBerry® 7 Operating System (OS). The all-new BlackBerry® Curve™ 9350, BlackBerry® Curve™ 9360 and BlackBerry Curve™ 9370 smartphone are exciting additions to the popular BlackBerry Curve series.

Just a few days ago we saw a rebate form leak out showing both the Curve 9350 and Torch 9850.  Now a slide has leaked out for U.S. Cellular showing month releases for both the BlackBerry Torch 9850 and BlackBerry Curve 9350.  The BlackBerry Torch 9850 is due to launch sometime in August while the Curve 9350 is due in October.  That’s pretty much it, another speculated launch date.

It looks like Telus is picking up a few new BlackBerry smartphones this season, and as soon as August.  While we keep hearing about delays of the BlackBerry Bold 9900, it seems like rumored launch dates are emerging for Telus with dates as early as August 18th.  Here’s the lineup of launch dates:

It looks like OS 6.0.0.600 is really going around to all “in this season” BlackBerry devices.  It started off as a leak, but surprisingly carriers all over the world picked it up.  The biggest shocker was AT&T picking it up for the Torch 9800 since they’re always behind in that as a carrier.  Now we’re seeing the OS launch for the forgotten BlackBerry Style 9670 and the BlackBerry Curve 9330.  Both these OS builds come from GCI.
