Evernote for BlackBerry smartphones updated a couple of days ago with a few changes to it. When version 3.0 launched, we saw a bit of a user interface change, and now the home screen of the app has improved again. We also get the option to flip through notebooks on the home screen allowing you to navigate through them fast paced. Appending mode has been improved where you can see content of a note below where you are typing which makes referencing easier. Finally, the application runs faster as well allowing for faster navigation and typing within the app. The update is available in BlackBerry App World to download.

This was a feature that just seemed to be missing in the last version and so that has been fixed. Recently, Evernote went through a nice update changing up the whole user interface and adding new features. They just released an update two days ago to version 3.1.289. In this update, we see faster note loading, which seriously makes the app so much more useful. I’ve become really addicted to MemoPad since I use it to jot notes down really quick when I need to. Using Evernote is now a lot more feasible with the faster note loading, so I can use that instead of my native MemoPad, and have my notes available on my other devices including the web or even my iPad.

Evernote is a great application for keeping all your notes in one place. For me it works great since I have notes on my iPad, MacBook and BlackBerry. Evernote allows me to keep them all in one place and easy accessible.

Evernote is definitely one of my favored applications for BlackBerry. It allows me to keep all my notes for everything all in one place. I used to be big on the MemoPad (I still am) but for the majority of my notes, I keep in Evernote so that I can easily access them on my laptop or even iPad without having to do any sort of syncing. Evernote is also a free app which is always great and welcomes you more to use as well. Over the weekend, it got an update making it support the BlackBerry Torch 9800 which is great new for all you waiting on this one to happen.

I love using Evernote. My only issue with it was using it on my BlackBerry. For the iPad, it is an excellent application as the UI is very savvy. The UI on the BlackBerry application was never all that, but it did the job. Late last night I got updated to v3.0.260 for Evernote, so of course I was anxious to see it. I am definitely starting to see better enhancements now as they update their BlackBerry application. I strongly believe with BlackBerry 6 OS and larger screen displays, folks will be able to utilize the app the fullest now as it can get a bit difficult to fit a lot in such a small screen. Here are some improvements:
- Better search performance
- Improved networking in a variety of BlackBerry configurations
- Resolved login and permission issues
- Many other bug fixes and improvement
- placed many of the important application functions into the menu
