This is just a quick crop from an image over at C-Section Comics bashing at mobile users where its obvious that BlackBerry got it worse here over Android and iPhone as well.  Even so, I found it funny, and true to some extent.  I guess we are sort of in the stone age when it comes to games, entertainment, and high end graphics on the mobile which seems to be a huge advantage to other platforms. What do you guys think of this – as BlackBerry or non-BlackBerry users even?

That’s not a good sign.  So many still see that BlackBerry remains to be a corporate device being dominant in its email function, but what happens when businesses leave it behind for other devices?  JPMorgan has reported over the weekend that they have left BlackBerry smartphones and are currently migrating over to the iPhone for all its employees with mobile devices.  The move isn’t definite yet, as it is a pilot program being offered to the employees where Android and iPhones take place of the BlackBerry.  The company is obviously unhappy with what it currently has and is looking to explore other possibilities.

Apple announced the new iPod Touch today which has the lates iOS4 including multitasking and two cameras (both front and back).  Something BlackBerry users are “missing out on” is the Face Time capability and of course a wide range of applications which a lot of BlackBerry users suggest are 90% useless.  Either way, this iPod Touch comes very close to being the new iPhone 4 as far as the OS and specs go, minus the phone capability.

With that said, does purchasing one satisfy your iPhone itch and keep you on BlackBerry or does it interest you to drop your Berry and move on to the iPhone.  Of course some may have no interest in the device at all, but how do you folks who think about owning an iPhone feel about having an iPod Touch and keeping your BlackBerry?  Cast your votes below, drop us a comment, or even tweet us!

It’s no surprise that the European Union has observed at what is going on with the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and India and made their decision based off of that speculation.  Both HTC and iPhones can be snooped over via carrier, but the BlackBerry goes through servers in both Canada and Britain, prohibiting other governments and parties going through these.  More countries are seeing this as a threat which as a result makes them back off and start shopping for other devices.  The two devices the EU Commission has picked are the iPhone and HTC Android devices of some sort.  What does RIM do? Cater to these governments who seek control over BlackBerry data or let them be in their own decisions?

Whether your into BlackBerry or not, we all know that Apple and Android devices have grown high up this year, and RIM has fallen a bit behind with their devices.  The release of BlackBerry 6 should be RIM’s way back up the ladder to compete once again, as many BlackBerry users have switched to other platforms for the extension of features and reliability.  I came across an interesting article over at eWeek talkign about why Apple must worry now with the launch of BlackBerry 6.  Take it as you wish, but I found it entertaining but true.  Hit the jump to check it out!

1. RIM is finally ready to play

  • For a while, RIM didn’t seem all that prepared to take on Apple and Google in the mobile market. The company’s BlackBerry devices looked obsolete, and its software worked poorly when compared to iOS. But with BlackBerry 6, all that has changed. The software includes several new features, including social and multimedia integration, that make it a far more viable alternative to anything Apple offers. And given the size of its installed base, that could be a major issue for Apple as it attempts to steal BlackBerry owners away from RIM.

2. It’s what the enterprise has waited for

  • The enterprise has been the main benefactor of RIM’s BlackBerry for years. Companies that have wanted more functionality and productivity have opted for BlackBerry devices over anything else. But in recent years, those companies realized that BlackBerry OS is becoming obsolete. And they have started looking elsewhere for their mobile needs. With BlackBerry 6, RIM can finally bring those customers back. The software includes the same level of functionality for enterprise users, but adds some streamlined menus and other features to make it more usable. That alone should make enterprise users happy.

  • UPDATE: Apple.com/antenna to see what Apple says about the Bold 9700 and how it faces the same antenna issue. Do any of you believe it to be true?

What? Steve Jobs really took a jab at RIM this time.  During the press conference which is currently going on now, Steve Jobs makes mention of the BlackBerry and shows the bars of one go down because of the way it is gripped.  How do you folks hold your BlackBerry? Do you ever get dropped calls and data losses when holding it in any typical way? The iPhone 4 is clearly defective because you cannot hold the device in your hand and get adequate service.  A BlackBerry’s antenna is not designed the same as Apple’s new faulty product.  Jobs also takes a stab at other devices as well including the HTC Droid and Samsung Omnia.  Stay tuned for more as we find out if Jobs takes any more jabs at RIM.

We couldn’t get an image of the BlackBerry demoed but here’s the Samsung Omnia. Hit the link below to check these guys out live!

When I got the email on this theme yesterday, I was amazed.  Now I’m not all up for making my BlackBerry look like an iPhone or Android, but Hedone Design has put some good work into this one.  It’s called iLike as it is based on the Apple iPhone.  There’s a high demand for iPhone themes on the BlackBerry for some odd reason, so Hedone has responded by introducing iLike.  You get 20 homescreen icons, and on the Storm you’ll get 16.  Hit the link below to check out more info on iLike and to purchase today for only $6.99.

Browsing via BlackBerry? Click here to view video

This isn’t directly related to BlackBerry, but we all know the iPhone goes head to head with the BlackBerry, so we came across this funny clip.  It’s in reference to the whole reception issue folks were having when holding the iPhone a certain way.  Apple’s response was to hold the phone differently or get a case for it.  It’s pretty much a big slap in the face, and we had to show you this video I came across on BerryScoop criticizing Apple in a Hitler comedy with subtitles.

We’re not going into so much depth here, but I just saw the quick clip for the all new iPhone 4 and realized that some of these features being rolled out as “revolutionary” have already been in existence with BlackBerry.  Sure there are lots of cool features to the iPhone 4, and it does look appetizing to many of us.  But don’t let fancy marketing and good actors fool you.  What ends up happening is that we become introduced to these “new and fresh” features, and because they make it look so cool, we almost forget that those “new and fresh” features have existed in other devices for quite some time.  We didn’t go so in depth here, and just covered up what we generally saw in Apple’s iPhone 4 teaser trailer which launched officially today.  Hit the jump to see the full scoop on what we saw Apple has implemented in the iPhone 4 which has existed in BlackBerry for years.

We can all just assume that BlackBerry 6 aka OS 6.0 will be arriving well after Apple announced and launches their new iPhone.  Rumors say that the iPhone is supposed to be announced June 7th – and yes we’re RIM is running out time.  Generally speaking, those who are looking to get a smartphone this month will be paying close attention to this iPhone, but as BlackBerry 6 is not being presented properly to the public now, it keeps concentration on Apple rather than RIM.  The BlackBerry Bold 9800 is also expected to launch this month, which many of us are doubting with the lack of developer tools for OS 6.0 that have been given out.  Say the “lack of” is a bit bold to throw there as there haven’t been any period til date.  So what’s RIM going to do? Are we close to the release of BlackBerry 6 or shall we wait more? By it being delayed, will more migrate to the iPhone? Drop us a line and let us know what you think.
