During the BlackBerry 10 Jam session today, Magmic got on stage to show off what they have been working on for the last several weeks.  Texas Hold’em King Live for the BlackBerry PlayBook is what the company has been working on.  The cool thing about it is that the game can be played from BlackBerry devices running OS 5 and up and pretty soon the BlackBerry PlayBook as well.  Since the game is based around online game play, you’ll be able to play against other users whether they are on their BlackBerry smartphone or PlayBook.  As for the launch date, we should expect to see the free open beta version of game take off in a few weeks as the company is implementing some final touches

Magmic has done it again and launched another theme compatible with BlackBerry 7 smartphones.  If you feel left out in the theme department, check this new one out.  Cosmos is a outer space style theme with home screen icons offered diagonally and all your notifications on the left side of the screen.  Might not be the exact theme you’re looking for but it’s still a nice face lift for your BlackBerry.  Check it out and download it for free at BlackBerry App World.

Deck The Halls is a theme created by the folks over at Magmic.  It of course is inspired by the holiday season as seen in the screenshots.  Along with this theme release, we were told it works with the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930.  The theme builder for OS 7 is still not out yet, but Magmic guys have worked their magic somehow to release this theme.  It’s $2.99 to buy from Bplay.  Click the link below to check out Deck The Halls theme and other great themes and games.

Backgammon King for BlackBerry by Magmic Games just went social with BBM 6 integration.  We’ve already been more than satisfied with what Magmic has done with Texas Hold’em King Live where we get to play against other players live.  They’ve started off with Backgammon King, but I’m sure it’s a matter of time until we see THKL go live with it as well.

Any way, Backgammon King is your average backgammon game which has been on BlackBerry for some time now and with the new BBM integration you’ll be able to invite your friends via BBM to play with you.  Single mode is still available of course.

Texas Hold’em King LIVE! is a free poker game for BlackBerry where users can play against each other live online and enhance wealth (digitally only of course).  We got the word from Magmic that they have reached over 600,000 unique accounts for the game. According to THK Live’s Product Manager, there will be additional platforms supported for the game later in the summer, which will of course broaden who you can play online with now.

Here’s some interesting features getting added in the future:

• Tournaments – We’re working on Sit-n-Go and Deep Stack monthly tournaments
• More Payment Options – We’re integrating with BlackBerry Payment Services to allow our users more ways to stock up on chips.

Remember Texas Hold’em King LIVE?  It’s the free poker game by Magmic where you get to play other live players free.  It got a nice update yesterday to version 1.0.9, mainly adding Twitter integration.  With Twitter connected to the game, you can tweet your achievements, and let other Twitter friends know about the game.
