Still official pricing, availability, or even an announcement from Research In Motion on this one just yet.  For now we get to see the BlackBerry Curve 9380 make its appearance on a Telus flyer.  So at least we know a carrier it’s headed to which is over in Canada.  As a quick recap on specs, the Curve 9380 is the first all touchscreen Curve sporting a 3.2 inch display as 480 x 360.  Inside is a 800MHz processor, a 5MP camera on the back with 720p HD video recording.  It of course isn’t the top notch BlackBerry to get, but it’s definitely an excellent starter device which should be offered at a low premium.

playbook 16gb discontinued telus memo

Over the last several weeks, we saw a promotional limited time sale for BlackBerry PlayBook tablets including the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB starting at $299.99.  The prices are back to their normal $499.99 starting price again.  According to an internal document over at Telus, the 16GB BlackBerry PlayBook is set to be discontinued on November 8th. There’s no presence of the 32GB and 64GB models now and we do know that RIM has plans on releasing an LTE model in the second half of 2011.  This is a Telus internal document, so it’s uncertain if this is indeed a discontinuation of the device, or just a note that the carrier won’t be providing that model any longer.  What are your thoughts?

Back in August, we let you know that Telus was launching the BlackBerry Curve 9360 in white and pink.  With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Telus has the BlackBerry Curve 9360 in pink available and $25 from each device purchased will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  This isn’t the first time we see Telus launch a program like this, as we’ve seen it with other generations of the Curve and the Pearl.

With the BlackBerry Curve 9360 just officially out as of last week, there’s already plans for it in different colors.  According to MobileSyrup who received this image, the Curve 9360 is coming in white and pink.  As always, BlackBerrys continue looking fresh in white, and pink obviously targeted more towards a female audience.  Which color is for you or do you prefer black?

Yesterday MobileSyrup released an insider screenshot showing that the Telus BlackBerry Curve 9360 would be available today, and the BlackBerry Torch 9860 on August 30th.  The Curve 9360 has been announced by so many carriers all over, as it’s expected to spread out as the original Curve 9300 and 8500 series did.

Telus wouild be the first carrier to launch the device which is a bit exciting to finally see, especially considering that RIM just announced the device last week.  We’re used to announcements on devices from RIM then seeing them many months later.  And for the Torch 9860, you’ve see it all by now hitting many other carriers, so those waiting for the Telus version, you can grab it on the 30th.

Along with Virgin Mobile, Telus and Rogers have also made their announcement in launching the BlackBerry Curve 9360 in the near future.  So there’s three Canadian carriers off the bat that are guaranteed to get it.  We previously saw leaked screenshots showing a BlackBerry Curve 9360 launching for Bell, but the carrier has yet to say something about it yet.  I’m sure in a few hours we’ll see Bell come out of the closet and make their announcement on the new device.  Of course the GSM carriers in the United States haven’t made any mention of it.  All we have is Sprint who was first to announce the CDMA Curve 9350 earlier this morning.  Telus announced the device fresh on their site while Rogers made a quick announcement on Twitter.
