UberSocial updated to version 1.304.0 a few days ago. I’m surprised no one picked up on this one up until now. Any way, not too many changes in this version, but here’s the log:
- Redesigned tweet composer screen to be simpler, more friendly, and provide more room
- Fixed bug where on some devices the character count on compose tweet screen didn’t work
- Completely re-written Facebook oauth logic, resolves issue with facebook web page not rendering correctly on the built-in browser widget and the in-ability to login if you setup your facebook security to require the naming of a new device login
Thanks ecivon for sending this one in!

We already let you know about the 50 Cent theme for UberSocial way back when. A few weeks ago we even saw a Sherlock Holmes edition launch as well. In BlackBerry App World, I spotted that Ashton Kutcher, Russell Simmons and 50 Cent themes were available to download. Usually these were over the air to download off the UberSocial website, but you can grab them officially in App World now free!

- Fixed bug in mypict.me upload which could cause the app to lock up.
- Fixed bug in keyword muting where you couldn’t include a ‘#’ at the beginning of the keyword.
- Fixed bug where UberChannel background images were getting their corners rounded.

UberSocial for BlackBerry has updated once again. Last thing we saw from UberSocial was the new MMA theme they released. Shortly before that, we saw the 1.20 update which consisted of bug fixes mainly. This time it’s to version 1.252 adding the following:
- Increased the default local timeline cache size
- Removed the ability to retweet a tweet from a private account
UberSocial is free to download for BlackBerry smartphones. You can purchase the ad-free premium version for $4.99 directly from their site.

If you weren’t aware before, UberSocial supports themes. We saw the Uber50 theme which was customized by 50 Cent a while back. Now we see a new theme called UberWarrior, targeted towards MMA fans. For those who follow up with the sport, there was a great fight over the weekend with Rampage Jackson, Jon Jones, Nate Diaz, and many more. In the next few months there’s a lot of back to back events so getting this theme now is a good time. It’s free to download from UberSocial. Just make sure you have the app installed first.

It’s no secret that applications all over are starting to get integrated with BlackBerry Messenger. A lot of apps are ones you don’t even expect to have it, but developers are creative enough to do that. Now it looks like the famous Twitter client for BlackBerry UberSocial is getting BBM integration in the near future. Currently users are doing some private beta testing and BerryReview was able to snag some screenshots showing how it is.

- Direct support for the latest OS 7 BlackBerry devices
- For BlackBerry OS 6.0 and 7.0 devices we now support the home screen message notification bar so DMs, @replies/mentions and inner circle tweets will show up there for quick access from the device home screen. When you see the mini UberSocial icon, click the bar and the tweets/DMs that caused the notification will be displayed along with a snippet of the tweet. Clicking the tweet snippet will take you directly to it.
- Fixed bug where tweets would not open on some touch screen devices when you touched them
- Fixed bug where trending topics descriptions would sometimes overlap in the list.
- Fixed issue caused by twitter wrapping all URLs with t.co shortened links, this affected twitlonger, tmi.me, myloc.me and mypict.me links
