UberTwitter has updated once again, this time to version 1.114 addressing some issues people were having before.  Some of you may not have seen any errors.  I personally had issues sending to Facebook before, and according to the change log, that bug was fixed.  Below is the full change log of version 1.114

• Detection and reconnection to Facebook prior to sending a tweet
• Facebook send error detection Much better detection of errors and reporting to the user if the post to facebook fails
• Manual refresh Fixed a bug where selecting ‘refresh’ from the menu didn’t always kick off a refresh
• Timeline not refreshing Fixed a bug where the timeline would not refresh and large amounts of CPU would be used causing battery drain

So as you all know by now, UberTwitter made its big official v1.0 release the other day, making it the first out of beta version we have seen yet.  There was a report of some freezing going on within the application, so an update came underway that takes care of that issue.  Nothing else seems to be in this build but that, as the “stable” version just launched.

UberTwitter for BlackBerry is FINALLY out of beta.  It’s been awhile and we had a lot of fun testing out all the different versions.  UberTwitter quickly moved to the top becoming one of the most popular Twitter clients for BlackBerry offering both free and premium versions.  So now after well over a year of beta versions, version 1.0 has launched.  Below is the full change log of version 1.0:

• Rich Facebook Posting – Optionally post your tweets directly to Facebook from your device. Pictures and location show up in your stream as rich media previews.
• Bit.ly Pro – You asked and we delivered, now you can configure your own Bit.ly Pro account and track your own URL shortened links and take advantage of the advanced features that Bit.ly provides including the use of custom shortened URLs of your choosing.
• Dismissible Ads – For those of you on touch screen devices with the Ad supported version, you can dismiss the ad at the bottom of the screen to give you more screen space.

UberTwitter just got another update with a few bug fixes, battery life, and a few other changes.  Below is the full change log:

• Map Provider Allow users to select either MapQuest (default) or BlackBerry maps to display users locations.
• User action to retrieve a map You now have to click the ‘Retrieve Map’ button after opening a tweet in order for the map to be retrieved. This will result in substantially lower bandwidth requirements and improved battery life.
• UberChannel date display bug fix Fixed a bug where tweets in UberChannel streams had the date incorrectly displayed.
• Resetting tweets to retrieve bug Fixed bug where on an upgrade the number of tweets to retrieve would reset to 60.

It looks like UberTwitter updates once again – and as always equipped with new features and further bug fixes.  Here’s the full change log:

• Bug Fix – Fixed a bug where the menu key would become unresponsive and occasionally the device would lock up. This same bug likely was causing excessive battery usage over time.
• New Themes – You asked and we delivered two new themes! The Midnight theme which we think many of you will find extremely appealing, and the Über Classic theme which brings back many of the color choices of version 0.971 including the same solid colors for @replies and DMs
• Filtered ÜberChannels – You loved ÜberChannels, but now we think you’ll love it even more! When you pull up the timeline for an ÜberChannel the tweets are now filtered so that you will only see on-topic tweets. Not seeing all of the extraneous tweets, especially on a mobile device, should make the ÜberChannel experience much better!
• Brighter Themes – Listening to your feedback we have reworked the colors in all of the existing themes to make the brighter and more vibrant.
• Notification Flowers – Everyone liked the uniqueness of the notification ‘flowers’ on the main icon when you had a new tweet/@reply or DM, we made them even better by including a red and white star in the middle to make them stand out.

UberTwitter – you know the deal already.  It recently went through a major update including a whole UI revamp as you all know by now.  Of course just like anything else, when an app is brand spankin’ new and has one too many changes to it, there’s always kinks.  So here’s the full change log for v0.985 of UberTwitter.  I can’t wait for just a flat out v1.0 of the app already.  By then the app better tweet for me.

• Fixed issue where timelines would freeze
• Fixed issue where @replies would show up late
• Improved memory management
• More efficient timeline scrolling
• No longer relies on the device time/timezone being correct
• Added ‘Mentions’ button to user profiles, taking you directly to a timeline of tweets that mention that user
• BlackBerry notifications can now be turned on/off within options for regular tweets, @replies, and DMs individually
• Added a ‘Delete All’ to the ‘Hashtag Picker’ menu
• Restored the ability to ‘load more’ tweets on timelines
• Fixed a bug in our cell tower geolocation capability which was preventing some towers from being recognized
• Fixed a bug where if you select it, the location field in your profile wasn’t getting updated
• The ‘enter’ key will now work the same as a trackball click on one of our custom buttons
• Fixed bug that was causing input exceptions when composing a tweet on Storms
• Improved the visual quality of the icons
• Allowed older devices to select the larger icons
• Fixed the sound alerts so that only one alert is received for 1 or more new tweets/@replies/DMs
• Fixed the countdown of unread tweets when putting the application in the background
• Caught a condition where some users were trying to send a tweet and it would send out the text ‘null’ instead
• HTML entities are now converted to the correct Unicode character
• If you have unread marks set to auto-manager, then leaving the @replies screen and DMs screen will mark all of those as read
• Added back the ability to select SSL connection to Twitter
• The number of tweets returned in ‘Everyone Near You’ and searches now respects the setting under ‘options’.

So that’s it folks.  There’s the full change log for UberTwitter v0.985.  I don’t know about you but I did have a lot of lagging and freezing moments as it is mentioned to be fixed in the change log.  Might make me go back to using Uber again.

Throughout every version of UberTwitter that has been launched, tons of features get added.  Perhaps this is why UberTwitter ends up being the best Twitter application for BlackBerry with everything it has to offer.  The change log is much to large so just as a highlight, the biggest deals we saw here was UberChannels, Instapaper integration, the new UI of course, muting users instead of unfollowing, Twitvid library search, and much more.  Hit the jump to read the full change log and to download UberTwitter Beta 8.

My favorite Twitter client is going at it again! UberTwitter got an awesome update late last night as we were flicking through Twitter and saw folks were chatting away about it.  Including lots of bug fixes and semi add-ons, I’m pretty satisfied with it.  Here’s the full change log:

• Java exceptions on device boot – Fixed issue where java exceptions would be reported on device reboot due to lack of permissions.
• Opt-out of sponsored tweets – Users can now opt out of receiving sponsored tweets.
• Goto User bug fix – Fixed bug where entering a user not in your timeline and then pressing trackball wouldn’t use the text you entered but instead find the closest match from your friends list.
• Everyone Near You – Fixed bug where it wouldn’t uses your current location, and sometimes would revert to somewhere off the coast of Africa. Also increased the distance to a 10 mile radius, in the future we will let you select this.
• Mini-Icon Notification – Fixed bug where if the app didn’t have certain permissions not related to the mini-icon, it still wouldn’t show the mini-icon.
• Fine-Tuned control of visual notifications – There are now three settings each for the mini-icon and application icon so you can fine-tune the control over how you want each to notify you. Also, the number next to the mini-icon will only reflect the number of new tweets of the type it is tracking. For example, if you only set the mini-icon to track new DMs, then the number next to the mini-icon will only reflect the number of new DMs.

It looks like UberTwitter went through another update tonight but with no change log.  Upon logging on to UberTwitter on my BlackBerry, I was prompted with an update, but it only brought it up from 0.960 to 0.964.  Perhaps it’s only out to fix minor bugs occurring from the previous version.  If any of you who decided to download this update find anything new, drop us a line.

So yesterday we get RIM’s official Twitter client and today UberTwitter kicks it with an official update.  Great timing if you ask me.  As you all know, UberTwitter’s updates are very exciting as there is always new add-ons, features, and bug fixes.  Hit the jump to check out the full change log along with an OTA link.
