It’s no secret that Justin Bieber has a huge fan base. It’s also known that with his many followers on Twitter, he’s taking up about 3% of the servers (a figure suggested a few months back). Last weekend Justin Bieber went with his father to watch a UFC fight live and sat with UFC CEO Dana White for a bit too. Bieber had tweeted “had a great time at #UFC last night – scored the fight with @danawhite.” Usually White tweets throughout the night and all the fights, but due to the large amount of retweets and replies he received (thanks to Bieber’s tweet), his BlackBerry ended up crashing. He’s tweeting again of course so maybe he needed a device wipe, or just to wait it out a bit.

Application Updates, Free Applications »

ScoreMobile for BlackBerry has just updated to version 1.6 now adding some nice goodies. I’m excited more or so because MMA is now supported as a sport since I am a fan. There are times where I’m not watching the fights live on TV and want to know what the updates are. That applies for all other sports too that I follow, and that’s why ScoreMobile’s a great application for me. Back to the update, here’s the full change log:
- added MMA as a new sport
- fixed NCAAB Schedules issue
- navigation refinements
- bug fixes & performance enhancements
To update, head over to BlackBerry App World on your BlackBerry and you should see an update available. Otherwise you can go to the app on the web store and download it manually.
BlackBerry Celebrities »

As a fan of the UFC, I follow Dana White on Twitter to get the latest updates on upcoming fights and highlight videos. For those unaware, Dana White is currently the president of the UFC. So I wondered which BlackBerry he was using, and finally got to see it today as Celebrity BlackBerry Sightings got their hands on a picture with Dana White flaring the BlackBerry Bold 9700. Seen in the picture on the Bold 9700 is the stock Twitter application. Would of been cool to see some UberTwitter or SocialScope love perhaps.
